This was awesome. I have lots to say but will have to save it for now.
London you rock. Best set up eva! Massive thankyou.
Good times.Poirot's keys are safe and sticky.
Hands on pints...
That was hilarious. Especially seeing Mat's own keys hanging around his neck and in his pint...Tom, B, Rik, Em....jeez! Too good.
Team Cosmic I love you x

The winner is decided over the space of 1 day.
So certain ways we could decide this might not be suitable.
So we choose single or double elim.
Either lose and you're out or you get a 2nd chance.
And that should be offered to every team.Other than that, I don't know how we'd do it but playing each team twice for a single elim would be interesting.
If the goal difference is the same after the 2nd game it runs to golden goal. That could run up to the quarters or semis then become only one game but of double the time (or longer time).
For this discussion I vote for it being fair for every team.

Perhaps then a team could tactically lose in order to take a different route to the final? Would that be possible?
The chances of being put into the loses bracket that you face in the final is high. And therefore you might only want to play them once overall so they can't adapt to your team play? Would be a big risk. Just thinkin...
Yeah move thread. I've said enough on the matter anyhow.

2 finals is fair.
That's the team's right if they got to the final without losing.
If the 1 final is stated from the beginning so be it.
It's double-elim so everyone has a second chance. (except for the winners of the winners bracket?!) They should decide if they want 1 final or 2 imo.You can all say 2 finals cause a weird atmosphere but I don't think they do at all.
Why should they? That's what you sometimes have to do to win.
It's when people begin moaning at the end that the atmosphere dampens.Had NT won due to a 1 final situ in Edinburgh I would've been well pissed off and felt quite cheated. I would've hushed up had a 1 final been stated from the beginning but feel by continuing to win through a tourney, that's your deserved advantage.
And if it had been the other way round I'd be happy to play 2 to deserve a win.

It's gotten all Daily Mail in here. When has alcohol and polo resulted in someone bleeding from their face?
Responsible drinking is a rule that exists on court as well as off, and I don't remember many incidents where people have got hammered and get on the court. I know when I have had too much (usually big polo events like the end of the league party, tap-outs, things like that) I stop playing.
My memory could be clouded by a beer induced haze.
I like the game we have. Drinking whatever. All personal choice.
When rules restrict the game because there are concerns over high mallets or defenders get blamed for getting in the way of a shot or you can't shoot without checking who's around etc, you might need to look at other things that may assist players getting a little loose! And alcohol has always resulted in my best crashes and injuries but on those days, alcohol was also my protection. But that didn't protect others.
I say ban polo. Change the name of the game and get tuff.
