Hey all,
Before I go on a mission to the bike shops and online etc,
Does anyone have any nice pedals they would like to sell?
Anything not being used?My current pedals are a pain to get into as they don't have the little lip which you use to lever your feet in.
They need to fit double toe straps and clips.
I'd consider any old classic style pedal or possible newer MKS Track pedals.
Used and worn is fine as long as they spin.Suntour Superbe/Sprint
Gipiemme
Campagnolo $£$£$
Shimano (Those pointed ones are nice)
etc etc.Don't want to spend too much either (Say £40 max).
I'd like to find something by this weekend if possible.
Thought I'd ask.
Cheers

So you still coughin' up some Tonite swag for Sunday, Todd? :)
Just waitin' for a collection J.
You gonna come over?Got a few tees and sweats which should do the trick.
You can grab a bunch of stickers too which anyone can help themselves too.
And maybe some Tonite giant foam stadium rock hands for the supporters? -

It's a great bike. Difficult size to sell. However, sometimes you can't find a decent bike in that size.
If you get 2+ people fighting over it, you might make £250+Selling as part would make the most money.
Maybe break it down into:
Wheels
Frame
Groupset
Bars + Stem
Pedals
Brake Set
Saddle
Seatpost. It's a pain I know but where you might get most money.
I'd put the whole bike on eBay with a reserve and see what happens.Originally, that is an expensive bike. It deserves a £400 sale but isn't realistic in todays market which is a great shame when crap fixed wheel bikes hit that kind of mark.
Very similar to my Paganini which has all Chorus and Record parts and is a 56cm.
made by the same frame builder.
I don't reckon I'd get £300 for mine...

Concordes are amazing bikes.
Is it a full geared set-up?
It's really hard to think of a price as some great classic geared bikes end up going too cheap on eBay. Maybe advertise it on a classic bike site or Bike Radar perhaps.More info would be good especially with some pics.
Someone here might buy it... -
Could have stuck an appropriately-sized tree-branch in the tube.
:)
Never would have got it out again though.Wish it could've been that easy! The bottom half of the bolt was jammed into the top part of the clamp. We had pliers but couldn't remove it.
In a moment of genius, Kib removed a bolt from a newly built fence which perfectly fitted and enabled us to bolt the bottom half of the clamp to the seatpost.
That way we could tape the seat to it and it had decent support.
It was A-Team stuff! With about 16 miles left and lots of hills to come, it was nice seeing Slaytanic with no shoelaces and riding brakeless! Jeez...Cheers Dave! ;-)

How was the ride to Brighton? Recommended for a fixed outing? Seem to remember some pretty big hills on previous automobile-powered trips down there...
It was tough! Those hills are a struggle at the end but you get a sense of achievement when you make it to the top.
Make sure you got a day to recover though is my suggestion.
I'm not enjoying being at work today. We had one snapped spoke and a snapped bolt in the saddle clamp!
We managed to secure the saddle with shoelaces and tape!
You can't really prepare for some things. -
6 fakengers, arrospoks, cycling caps, tight jeans outside Mario's Cafe, Clapham Highstreet earlier this morning
That will've been myself, Slaytanic and a few mates (Jim,Matt, & Kib) meeting up for our ride to Brighton. Claphams a shithole & that cafe was crap too.
I take it you was one of the 2 brother walking around with your bike dressed as Tennisengers?
There was only one arrospok too which of course was Slaytanics, one cycling cap, and I was wearing tights, not skinny jeans! Pah!
You made a right meal of your description!

Does it take 700c or 27" wheels?
