These have been going on since 1998(99) and back then no one else in London was really interested in joining in with us couriers.

Female winners get winnings in proportion to their entry number.

There are far, far fewer women entrants therefore there are obviously less races ergo less prize money.

Out of the 45 racers that turned up in Manchester there was one woman, she took the pot for just qualifying. Not much cop either economically or for the spectators.

If the entrants were 50% female then the prize pot would be split equally. It is the same as almost every other sport.

Today I hate drivers that pull out into stationary traffic from side roads, for instance from White Lion St onto Upper St, thinking that because the motor traffic they are pulling into is stationary they don't have to look for anything else.

I almost came to physical blows trying to stop The Living Graham Bond taking the Smeear cap from the prize table!

velocity boy I will definitely try that again. 23.37 or whatever it was is not too shoddy I think, the style was right and if I hadn't turned to jelly just after the half way mark I probably would have accidentally qualified.

It was really great being there too, well organised and a good laugh.

We have done them outside, but as of yet not with bells and whistles (music and beer). In theory it would be easy, lets see what summer brings.
