Would be good if you can get a new stem to swap in or find some solution for the reach problem - I did some spinning tonight and when I'm going flat out on my spin bike I do exactly what you were talking about, but on the rollers my arms take pretty much no weight cos I'm not long enough without coming off the saddle completely.

Tika, contgratulations on your new job! Rotating mass is the term used to describe what happens to mass when it moves. Mass increases under velocity ie wheels (and rollers in this case) get heavier when they move. More so at the outer most point, the rim, as this is moving the fastest.

Rollapaluza are assisting the people at Tour de Ville in Holland run this event. Guess which part we are doing!

We will have a few spaces in our minibus/van spare. The criterea is that you have to be very fast on the rollers and willing to enter the event, or be able to convince us that you will be invaluable to the trip in some other manner.

If you aren't sure whether you are fast on the rollers come down to Gt Queen St, WC2 tomorrow between 1100-1500 and have a go...it'll cost you nothing, other than sore legs the next day.
