We also could do with some help building the course over the next few days. We have a dumper and digger and we need people to pitch in a help rebuild a few whoops, maintain the Table Top and cut back the bushes, sort out the sand pit and other general course maintenance.
You will receive a T-shirt and £15 for expenses. Better than that you get to have a go in a digger and drive a dumper......yes after last years effort they have let me have one back (see link below)!

We'll be on-site from 1000-1500 tomorrow 12th Oct, Thursday 13th and Friday 14th. Let me know if you want to help either
volunteer@rollapaluza.cc or O7747O4I596.Thanks

Also, keep meaning to say, Winston I had an awesome time, tried to turn my head and nod when you were like 'Alex...Alex Elmquist' but then I figured I should at least try to stay focused. I very much enjoyed your MCing. Cheers to you & Caspar and everyone else who helped out, set up, marshalled etc.
Thank you very much.

Trying to learn the names of 8 schoolchildren on a course today, 2nd week but I wasn't there for the first one. "What's your name?" "Ryan" "Ah, right, that will be easy to remember since you're the only boy on the course". "No, Alex is a boy". Alex, standing next to him looking mortified. Alex with the fine features and long, blonde curly hair sticking out under his helmet. Alex is Alexander, not Alexandra.
I genuinely feel really bad about it and there was nothing much I could say. A lesson learned. We were ran a series of events in Plymouth earlier this year for Primary schools. Whilst I was strapping one of the the finalists in I spotted what was clearly one of his parents cheering for him amongst the spectators. I said to him
'Shall I get your dad to come forward and cheer for you from right in front of the bike?'
'That's not my dad' he replied.I thought it must be his uncle then and entered a few more results in the computer. Just before the race started I asked him again if he wanted his uncle to step forward.
"She's my mum.....'
I don't know who was more mortified me or him.
I bet you get caught out again somehow Will.

We require a bright motivated individual to fundraise for a small team that is focused on promoting cycling throughout the UK as a means of transport, a healthy leisure activity and sport to as many people as possible including non-cyclists and people who do not currently participate in physical activity or exercise.

I am a recent convert to mac's and so far I am finding them great, with a few exceptions.
I regularly post to wordpress and I am really struggling to get my mac book pro to behave in a sensible manner. The problem is this, on a PC I copy data from an excel file into a word doc and then add a bit of text and a photo gallery. Then I paste the whole document into wordpress, usually I don't have to bother with the 'paste from word' function and hey presto it looks great all the lines on the tables are spaced neatly and it a makes me happy in a OCD sort of way.
When I do the same on my mac for some reason I cant fathom the same data gets compressed into the centre of the screen with huge margins either side and some of the neat formatting carried in from the excel tables gets messed up. This all leads to the data being difficult to read. I also notice that the galleries thunbnails are only two images wide when posted from the mac as opposed to three images wide when posted from a PC.
I heard that there are formatting issues surrounding .docx files but it doesn't make any difference what sort of word file I save it as,.doc or .docx I still get the same problems & I can't find any relevent settings in wordpress either.
Is anyone else having or had silimar problems? Does anyone know how to remedy this problem.
