I'm having the same problem. Got my snazzy red stem, which is 25.4mm but my bars are 26mm. So I've got to buy more stuff. Ever get the feeling building a bike is a good way to haemorrhage money?

Hmmm, just like clothes trends come and go. I think the idea of fixed wheel as fashionable is dying down now, and people are picking up on it becase it's better for them rather than cooler. Although it is cool.
