For the vast majority of people (I know(and like)) the boundary has become quite flexible, a spacious and fertile ground, like a park, where fun can be had. I used to use that stretch when a courier as a shortcut, no red-lights ride up to Camden, quiet maybe, safe no, it's relatively traffic free and straight which seems to encourage speeding and attention loss from drivers...

used to fly past guys "training" in all the gear on carbon bikes often with (can't see where I'm going) aero bars on that stretch of road, with my filthy Veto, full bag and upright position...would always give them a cheerful tinkle from my bell as I did so.....

I always assume that those guys are doing hundreds of laps, which is why they are so slow. Maybe I am too forgiving by nature and they should HTFU.

I just rode a bike for the first time since the crash. The pista went into the shop and got new handlebars and the brake lever moved to the left hand side. My consultant and physio siad that it'll be another 4 weeks till I can ride, but what do they know? I went round the block a few times and even got onto the drops.

It felt good but kind of uncomfortable, I think I may need to drop the saddle a bit to begin with to deal with my lack of arm extension.

In fact, it felt awesome - I can't wait till I can do proper journeys.

I saw them all set out this morning, they span past the end of my street at 9:12am and I let out a bellow of ¨Chapeau¨. So, they at least clocked up 2 miles :-)

A good friend (and PJ, I think) has the Condor Accacio and loved it. The Italia does look nice too. But, you will have to settle for 105 or Mirage to get into budget, I think?
