CHUG_IT My bro just had his bike stolen tonight from outside his office near Victoria Tube. His lock was cropped.
It's a Bianchi Pista, chrome plate, fairly stock, with cut down flats, plastic flat pedals, brakeless, purple sprayed rims with Phil Collins lyrics around the front.
Shit, that's one brave thief. Hope the fucker fell over the bars and broke their face.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for it. Fingers crossed.

I just texted a female friend who doesn't know this forum but wants to come to the rollers tomorrow. ¨Just look at the thread on the front page¨ I said. I shudder to think of her reaction if she just reads the last 5 posts or so.
So, Beth, if you're reading this - ignore these guys fooling around; they're not ALL murderers. The other roller race thread has a great first post from Winston that gives you all the details...
@RPM - you were accusing dale of going to far on another thread - mother/sister abduction is quite out there, you know? ;-)

pj hi mashton. i should have been at work, i was instead walking to the post office to send christmas presents. how naughty. the children will have to wait for their education a little longer.
i'm not sure what you shouted, i thought it might be pertaining to the roller race on saturday. i am also surprised you recognised me. i was fully insulated against cold.
Yeah, you had some serious scarf action going on. I actually recognized your voice - scary but true.
I shouted "See you on Saturday".
See you on Saturday. :-)

Object17 Technically the 25th isn't a pagan holiday,
The winter solstice on the 21st however - You'll find me at sunrise by the sea on the southcoast and at sunset on parliament hill. Are you going to ride down to the south coast, straight from the AGM meet up? Cool idea, if you do, we could all wave you off :-)

@flickwg - well "spoke card man" has gotta be better than "massive seatpost man", no?

cornelius blackfoot it depends on whether you want to do surround sound, if you don't any amp will do, most av amps have lots of inputs so you can shove most things through it, and then the electronic gubbins to move the sound around 5/6 speakers. I've got a yamaha one, which is pretty good so the reviews say, but its most probably been superceded since its about 3yrs old. If you want to get one cheap richer sounds are always a good bet.
But kowalski has active monitors which have integrated amplifiers. Thatmeans he doesn't need an amp, just the preamp for source switching and attenuation, I think?

nimhbus
mashton
nimhbus i do feel strangely better when pretty girls admire my bike, even if they are just being polite.
Mashton, on the other hand, rarely makes me feel better.
Shouldn't have let me get off the first hand then, should you :-)
i said never to mention that in public
What do you mean 'public', it's just me, you, 1000 members and 4 billion lurkers...

Legendary - one of my favourite quotes. I didn't think it could be improved on ..
