Matta-Clark's "cuts" inspired, among other contemporary artists, Brian Jungen, from British Columbia, Canada. Jungen recycles goods from a globalized consumer market and transforms them into objects that evoke a specific cultural tradition based in part on his Dunne-za First Nations background, as in his series "Prototypes of New Understanding."

today feeling a bit stiff, but alright. didn't get a puncture, but did manage to break my chain in the middle of nowhere. if it wasn't for me having a keychain that was made of a 1/8" chain, i'd probably still be walking to dunwich. the strangest piece of luck ever. the two people i rode with both had punctures and on the first one, my mate snapped the presta valve so the piece got stuck in the pump rendering it useless. this was in the dark, in the rain.
feeding station was stinky and the soup looked (and tasted a bit) like sick. it took about 30 mins of hard cycling after leaving the feeding point to warm up enough for there to be any sign of me being a man.
saw a few of you guys on the ride. tommy, ma3k, hippy, scott not scott...hello.
same time next year?

I'm with Bill on this one. i think if you're a pro cyclist you have to adhere to the rules, whether in training or not. while it is disappointing that the last few days are marred by some rather embarassing withdrawals, we should try and enjoy the four days of cycling left. unfortunately, these events will probably overshadow the riders that are riding hard, well, and clean.

i'll be at work until about six on thursday and friday. pub friday works for me but i'm not sure if i'm going to critical mass. if anyone is around clerkenwell, i can always pass along a whole bunch for distribution. and any worries about there not being enough: we've got 5000 spoke cards, so i don't think anyone will be left out.

punkpixel Sorry for the delay on this. I was away for a long weekend. Spokes cards are printed and ready (2500 of both winning ones). Apparently they look very good but I haven't seen them yet.
As I mentioned before they are like normal postcards, full colour, thick card, both sided but not laminated in plastic. That everyone would have to do individually. However we got them for free. Maybe some we can just use as postcards and leave them in bike friendly places.
Howis Brown mentioned he wanted to pick them up from the printers on Hatton Garden and store them in his office.
The printer is called Oldarcres / 62 Hatton Garden / speak to Richard or Miranda.
its a big box they told me. Probably too heavy to carry on a bike.do i just go by and ask for richard or miranda and they'll hand over the box? if yes, then i can do that either today or tomorrow.
now we just need to sort out lamination. it may be easier for people to get their card and laminate it themselves as finding a large enough laminator to do all the cards might be difficult.
