It rains a lot apparently... according to my portuguese colleague. But who cares? It's got a roof! That place looks awesome. Let's sort out a weekend away. If we can hire track bikes there we won't have the logistics hell of persuading easyjet to take 20 bikes over.
the rain is what makes Porto, though. and a forum trip sounds very very good.

right. SOUTH posse.
i will meet anyone heading to the polo courts by the south side of tower bridge, right by the last bit of green space to your left. there's a tall gray and orange building that used to be "Coffee @Tower Bridge" (now another coffee place) with a little turn in. i'll be there at 8:15. that should give us enough time to head up brick lane, grab a bagel and go to the polo courts. i'll be on a black colnago.

to save and review the data from the Garmin 705, use SportsTracks software, and pay for a few plugins especially the power analysis plugin.
Much better than the Garmin software.
I use Bikely to map the route, save the gpx file, and then open the gpx file in BikeRouteToaster and save the generated tcx file to the Garmin. It then appears as a Training Course.
For new long rides I occasionally use the gpx file to 'fly' the route in Google Earthwhen you map your route in bikely, do you use auto-routing? and then export to gpx and upload that gpx to BRT and export to tcx?
sorry for the long-winded question. i'm just trying to make sense to the garmin's routing function as well.
