Sorry about that. Have edited with this link which should work http://imgur.com/gallery/KcGQl The Pista bars and stem are at the bottom
and here's an extra photo of the clamp area

I have too many parts taking up space in my too small wardrobe. So I'm selling them. Face to face much preferred as my photos are rubbish and I want to make sure people are happy with what they are buying. Can meet in Herne Hill (evenings) or central after work. Let me know if my prices are totally stupid.
Here's a picture of everything together

There are more pictures in this gallery http://imgur.com/gallery/KcGQl All the photos are rubbish - think I've dropped my phone one too many times.
Nitto M12 rack. Good condition since I haven't used it much. £30 SOLD
3TTT pista stem (110mm) and Paris-Roubaix bars (42cm) all taped up. These bars are the 3TTT equivaent of Cinelli Criteriums, so have an almost track shape but were designed for road. I bought them NOS and then managed to scrape the sleeve a bit installing them like a muppet. Have an awesome sticker on the bottom saying Hi-Tech Heat Treated and are factory drilled at the clamp sleeve so you can go late-80s aero style if you want, £50 SOLD
Assos pedals. These are super rare, look gorgeous and were probably the coolest thing you could find in the late 80s. More information here http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=ca0a3740-5a8c-4775-96cf-2558ff52232a&Enum=109 Very light (240g for the pair), needle bearings, CNCed bodies. Pricing is tricky - Hilary Stone had a pair up for £150 but they have now sold. There's a pair on US ebay for $280. a NOS pair on for $588. Let's try £100.
Track fork 1". Not sure of brand but probably not super fancy. Crown looks too slim to drill. 34.5cm a-c, 17cm steerer, 4cm of threads. Paint is quite tatty. £30
3TTT road stem. F.Moser pantographed. 100m. £15 SOLD
S Works road shoes. These are pretty old. I bought them second hand and haven't used them. Size 12. Boa closure. White carbon fibre sole. They're in pretty decent condition. £10 SOLD
On-One Midge bar. 25.4mm clamp. Good cndition since I didn't use them much. Some tape residue. £15 SOLD
ReLoad messenger bag. XL size with two external pockets, one internal pocket, base compression straps. So big and so well made. A new one in this configuration would be $194. But this one has been tinkered with. I got a cobbler to swap the strap from left to right when I broke my collarbone. He did a great job. But then I stiched the pad into place and did a less good job so the stitching is loose. It still works but the pad slides along the strap. It's an easy job to stich the pad back onto the material so it doesn't slide. £40. SOLD
ReLoad frame pad. Pretend you're back in 2005! Free.
Bell. Weighs more than some bikes. Rings like it wants to wake the dead. 23mm clamp. Free
Avid G2 clean sweep rotor 203mm. £7
Avid Roundagon rotor 160mm. Free

Isn't it strange that nobody else has bothered on the thousands of MTBs produced? I see the logic but it it really that much of a problem?
A lot of newer MTB disc forks do have forward facing dropouts. There has been at least one accident in the UK where (as far as I remember) disc forces ejected a wheel from a dropout during a descent, leaving the rider paralysed

I have used Bontrager XR 1.8 tyres on CXP33s with no rolling or anything else, so I would recommend ytou give your plan a go before worrying about new rims or wheels.
However, if you plan to use the lightweight singlespeed 29er lowpro for going off road then remember to leave mud clearance. Aluminium frames and fork crowns can get surprisingly damaged by gritty mud on too big tyres...

-
Exactly! Although it helps a lot to have a lockout for single speed ascents when you are hauling the bars around. A suspension fork just made me enjoy the downhills more and gave me the kid on a bike feel that I love about mountain biking. I guess if I was better at picking lines I could do the same with a rigid fork, but it always felt harder work.

I've got CXP33s on my Crosscheck. They have the same width as OPs and I have had 1.8" tyres on them (45mm or so) offroad at about 35 PSI no problem. Currently got 32c marathon plus on them at 90psi and also no problem. I wanted a bit more stength and mud shedding ability so went for the deeper profile.
If you don't mind some added weight and want more strength and certainty over tyres then touring rims would be good or 29er disc rims if you go with the Singular. I've got some DT Swiss TK 7.1s on my 29er and they are good with a 2.2" tyre. Not cheap, although I got mine second hand built into wheels at a great price from a forum.

Not on that site. Linky?
Here's one http://www.thewatchsite.com/index.php/topic,24866.0.html
Just to say, I haven't bought anything from them so have no experiences, good or bad, but in my experience the world of vintage watches seems to have a lot more chancers than the world of vintage bikes.

Firefly say when the parts are repainted, not original and/or from another model so it's hardly going to upset a buyer that's read their text.
Oh wait.. it's ebay.. who actually reads listings..
Have you read the threads on thewatchsite forum? There are some very knowledgeable Seiko collectors on there who have a different opinion.
-
Has anyone bought off Firefly watches on ebay?
the Shark Vader keeps tempting me. Asked for the Timex watch that was posted a while back for my birthday but if I don't get that then I may go for the vader!Do some research on thewatchsite.com, a very good japanese watch forum. Conclusion is that many of the watches are not what they appear.
On a more general note, buying watches on ebay is a good way to get ripped off - there are lots of fakes, non-original vintages and overpriced stuff.

learning from my experience of using the iPhone 3G with iOS4, I wouldn't even put iOS5 on the newer 3GS!
jump make you want to get the newer iPhone 4.
I've read user reports that iOS5 makes the 3GS much better - faster and with better battery life. I'm gonna wait a little for the servers to stop melting and any bugs to surface, then do the download.

Thanks very much. Understand now. Could I just use a generic repeater (i.e. not airport express) to extend the wireless range or does the airport express do something special. Main thing I'm wondering is why the airport express seems so much more expensive than other brands. Is it just apple shininess?
-
you can also wirelessly connect airport express/extreme/time capsule to your existing router and use it as a range booster without the hassle of long ethernet/cat5 cables.
I like the sound of that, but worried by this:
It's a bit tricky and depends on the router/modem setup you have, but a bit less messy.
-
Don't tell nailbrush
I definitely won't be spreadign the word about my class-war connection
g-drive is cheaper and if you want to store it off-site you can, do that with a time capsule and you negate it's other functionality.
Good point. Does your Airport Express replace the BT wirless box? I think my real problem is that I don't understand the extra functionality of the Time Capsule that well!
-
The last few pages of this thread have made my head hurt.
I want to get an external HDD as I don't have a backup system for my iMac. Should I get a G drive or a time capsule? I currently access wireless through the box that you get from BT, so will the wireless bit of the time capsule make life better in any way?
My thoughts are probably not, although I don't have wireless reception everywhere in my place and wondered whether the time capsule would help. Probably cheaper to buy a G drive and signal booster though...
PS my iMac has a firewire port

i really liked the option to go with canti's instad of disc-brakes.
wasn't really looking for a fast and light 29er ... rather something durable and versatile for the winter
the ogre seems to be better, since you can even use disc, fender and rack simultaneously. But I don't really want to wait 2 more months :(
Have to say that discs are so much better than vs or cantis, especially for winter riding.
