smeear(smeear) what about the tall thin chrome ones that you can get from ikea?????
Hmm.. this.. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/29291800 Maybe. Don't know the diam. though.
Might just try for a skinnier one and pack it out with a tea-towel.

Why is that optimistic? That's their 'price' from the Manchester Velo Assoc (or whoever is selling the old track).
They go up from their too. If you want finish line it's £40.
Some people have bought it too and why wouldn't you, if you'd won a national/world title there or raced many times.
Kinda cool I reckon, but never having raced there I'm not gonna buy any. -

Are there any second-hand bike shops in England? In Melbourne there was a place called BicycleRecycle and it was filled to the brim with all manner of bmx, road bikes, full on DH bikes, old track kit, parts, forks, NOS bits, everything!!! Again, it might come down to the fact that bikes here get used until they're scrap whereas in Oz they just get thrown out.

joe_b Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you actually hitting pedals? You might find you are a long way off from connecting pedal with ground.
If you are actually hitting pedals I'd suggest altering your cornering style. Lean your body more rather than your bike and/or slow down before the corners more and get your butt out of that saddle and hammer out of them.. criterium stylee.. -

velocity boy I have a spare Dura-Ace 3/32 17T sprocket as soon as I can get it off my Phils and replace it with the EAI 1/8 17T.
At least, I think it's a 17T. I'll see when I get it off.I've got a brand spanking Condor 17T 1/8th CNC'd cog.
I fitted it and then wondered why the chain wouldn't go over the teeth. Sometimes I'm such a tw@t!
Did you want to get rid of your 17T? -
scott not scot Hehehe....they're a pain in the ass...literally!
can't they post the forks?.....i always rob spacers off my other bikes cos i never have the little things like that....so i've usually got at least two bikes in pieces!I asked 'em not to coz the shop is not so far away and I might need them for spacers and stuff and I save £6 (although I actually paid postage = d1ck!).
They are my club's bike shop so I really should check 'em out.
I'm not going to touch the Ribble setup because it's working for me. -
Maybe.. thing is, I still have to collect the fork, fit it (which means cutting and/or spacers - neither of which I have) AND I still don't have a 3 /32 17T sprocket for the rear AND I've only ridden it twice so doing 200k on a foreign bike isn't my idea of fun.. at this stage I'd prefer the roadie and then maybe the Raleigh.. but then I've got no bottle cages.. Fscking bikes. I'm gonna buy a car and drive there.
