Sorry, they have 70mm and 90mm but not 80mm:

Just hope they don't find this post where you've admitted to punching the car..
Sorry to hear about the crash and the subsequent injuries man. I've come very very close to doing the same thing a number of times here but manage to limit it. Verbally I go ballistic but I've not hit a car here. An open palmed strike is meant to be the best option (if they are still in car). It makes a loud noise inside the car but doesn't do any damage to you or the car. I think I'd be more inclined to kick their doors in anyway.. much more damage with a toughened SPD sole attached to foot :)
Hope you get yourself sorted out speedy like! Do you have crash insurance or something?

I couldn't sit on a Brooks long enough to 'wear it in'.. Fkn hell they are not compatible with my arse!
How long did it take you Brooks lovers to get comfy? Or am I just a freak in not loving them? :)
I like the look of the red Arione. I was looking for one of those to try before I left Oz but never found one. -
I currently run SPD on the fix because that's what I had (on the mtb).
I unclipped skidding a few times but you just bounce up and down a few times and then clip back in.
I don't twist my feet pedalling so the tension can be set very low. I've since wound the tension up higher on them and haven't unclipped again.I run SPD-SL on the race bike and love them. Got my folks to send me over my evil all-black race shoes just for the SPD-SLs :)
I can highly recommend NOT buying shoes off ebay or buying shoes that 'look nice' without first trying them on.
I'd love to give ATACs and the eggbeaters a try. I need new shoes anyway. Time will tell.

Stef_82 Hey there, i was wondering if anyone can reccomend a set of good puncture protected tires...
Gatorskins are what i'm running on pretty good tires but not sure if they're bulletproof as they say I've punctured about 4 times in 6 monthsI've never like the Conti's. They get lots of flack on forums and even my LBS warned me off them!
In London I've been using the cheap (steel bead I think) Vittorias Rubinos and I skidded through one, no punctures. I've also had the ultra-light and grippy Bontrager Race-X-Lites. These puncture a couple of times in a few months but they were pretty cut up when I got them (used). Got some new ones waiting to go on at home but can't remember what they are... from the cheap bin at Condor. Michelin ProRace would always do me for 4000k commuting/training/racing before they started getting cut up and puncturing. They are expensive though - well, they were, anyway.

Hey, hangover! Me too.. blurgh! Luckily spewing my guys up last night meant I could still ride (what's the equivalent of crawl on a bike?)
hippy or firsthippy: My nickname is hippy but some fsckers beat me to it on other sites so I use firsthippy.
It started due to having very long hair and perma-stoned appearance, neither of which I have any more (I think). -

velocity boy Are you guys really comfortable on the saddles you ride? Or did you opt for the ones that look awesome (and I'll concede they really do) foregoing some comfort?
Actually, I have an ebay Selle Italia sitting in the cupboard and have an OEM Bontrager saddle on the Ribble.. why? Because I'm too fscking lazy to swap it over!!
I always rode Selle Italia Flite's so the SLR is probably gonna be more comfy but the Bontrager hasn't killed me yet, so.. why swap.My favourite saddle was the 'saddly now bent' OEM GT saddle that came with the GT Talera I have. Mid-90's steel MTB.

First rode fixed aged.. hmm.. 6-7?
It was a fixed gear tricycle and my brothers and I cained the crap out of it getting it sideways through the bend in our driveway.. until the outside wheel lost most of its spokes and collapsed. It had solid rubber tyres ffs!!!
Was riding an SS mtb in 2003. 'Raced' the 2003 SSWC in Castlemaine, Australia. 2-3 years ago dabbled in track while road racing - built 'Vegemite'.
Converted the SS to a gearie and toured on it when I arrived here 2 years ago. Snapped it and bought the Raleigh to commute on, which is the bike I currently ride. Bought the Ribble roadie to race on and just last night did my second competitive event in 2 years (it was only a TT but it's a start).
I don't have a long family history of bike riding/racing. Most of my family are into petrol-based sports although as a kid I always drooled over my Grandad's roadie..
That's enough about me.. now, tell me a little of yourself.. :-P

Rather than shell out £20 to test a shorter stem I thought I'd pose the question here and see if anyone has such a part lying around?
It's for my road bike and I'm looking for slight angles (7deg) and not 30deg MTB stems.
I'm in west london but could pick it up. I might buy it after the test if you wanted to sell it?Otherwise, where can I get a stem like this cheap?

laplusgourmande:i had an izumi super toughness chain, but sold it recently. It was alright, but a chain is a chain...
Now i have a chain made entirely of half links, and it's fucking massive!

Actually, they might've been the one Evans I had good service in. I was casing various bike shops around the area and they got me a spacer for my Mavic freehub. It wasn't the right one in the end but the fact was they had something I could try and they handed it over for nothing. Friendly too. Reminded me of my long, lost Croydon Cycle Works (in Oz, not the one just below London).
