I don't think it's worth calling anyone, I'm not particularly freaked out or anything (though I am pissed off cos the bedroom is FREEZING from the missing window but I should probably wait for the police before sorting that out)... I just wanted to rant somewhere.

So after coming home and spending ages on here I've just noticed someone tried to break into my flat tonight. A pane in the bedroom window is smashed and the window lock in the living room is fucked.

Thank fuck I had a window lock on the bedroom one.

To make things worse I split up with my boyfriend of 3 years the day before yesterday and he moved out today (it wasn't him, in case you were wondering).

Police are coming round but I can't really call anyone I know at this hour and I just wanted to post in a miserable why are people trying to break into my flat on the first day of me living by myself for the first time kind of manner.

Next time you're out on your bike, take a tin bath and about 4 or 5 gallons of water in plastic containers. In the event of a flat tire this will help you locate any punctures you may have.
