This will do the Brompton ratios:

Currently in the midst of about the first half of the South Coast Way.
We started in St Austell - took the train from Paddington to St Austell in the morning (4 hours) and then did a short day (38km) to Liskeard.
Day 2 was 96km Liskeard to Exmouth.
Day 3 (today) 76km Exmouth to Axminster.
Tomorrow we'll be doing another 70 odd km to near Wareham and then finishing with a short day to somewhere lile Bournemouth/Christchurch/Brockenhurst (depending on energy levels) and then train home.
We're staying in hotels but carrying all our gear for four nights away.
Among the things I wish I'd realise are:
- that the hills in Cornwall and Devon are absolutely savage and I am massively over geared. My lowest gear is 34:34 (riding an Orro gravel bike with 2x11 gearing). My girlfriend has a triple front chainring and is also younger, fitter and lighter than me. She also has a much less complex medical history!
I suspect that no feasible gearing would be low enough for me to get up some of these hills - 16% average is pretty tough going!
Even when you have got to the top and start descending you can hardly gain any time back as the roads are so narrow and visibility is so poor that you are on the brakes constantly.
the roads have these horrid overgrown slippery, mossy strips down the centre meaning you are riding down a really narrow section on the side right up against the (really high) hedgerow.
When it rains ... ðŸ˜
Fortunately we leave Devon tomorrow and I'm hoping the hills will ease off a bit!
On the plus side the countryside has been fantastic with some amazing views and beautiful little villages.
Finally very high recommendation for Cycle Action in Torpoint who helped solve a gearshift problem and didn't want paying (though I made him take a tenner).

Nothing that requires subjective scoring is. We could cut the cost right down with some judicious culling:
A. Nothing that requires "scoring" - eliminates gymnastics, synchronised swimming, all martial arts, boxing, dressage, trampolining, breaking, etc..
B. Nothing where the Olympics is not the pinnacle competition; eliminates football, tennis, golf, basketball, etc..
C. Nothing with animals; eliminates showjumping and dressage (again)
D. Nothing that requires expensive permanent infrastructure; eliminates rowing (except beach sprints); canoeing, maybe others?Got to say I'm not happy about some of those outcomes but it would reduce cost massively and move firmly towards the citius, altius, fortius motto.
Of course it would never happen. Gymnastics is one pf the top TV audience figures, especially in the US.

Is anyone saying they are trans?
Given that we don't (rightly) know the specifics, this thread seems to provide a fairly clear summary of the likely situation:
