I wasn’t being a dick, what I was meaning is that mudguards are an investment. Cheap out and you pay for it in worn parts and wet feet

If you can spring for a Fairlight you should justify good mudguards.

PDW are easiest to fit and last well. Berthoud are cheaper and last well but fiddly to fit. Both pairs of VO mudguards I’ve had have cracked even if I use leather washers. Honjo are to delicate for me, more for a show bike IMO. SKS Square shape metal guards wobble like a wet noodle.

Sorry just seen this. They’ll need to be is a wheel box as they’re big. Paisleyfrieght charge £18.99. Or like £20 for them, this ends up quite expensive. Anyone else got better ideas?

Have you put a 50mm guard in because it looks like there is 4mm room each side?

If that tyre is 42mm a 50mm guard will fit.
