Hi does anyone know whether a set of Campagnolo dust caps would fit on a Shimano 7600 or 7710 hub please? They appear to be the same size with a set of callipers within a mm or so. Just wondering whether anyone has tried it, may be nice to get the metal cap on there and to have a grease port too. Interested to hear ideas, thanks!

Thank you these are some really good points! Makes sense re the spokes and that will likely be a case of finding a 40hole hub.

Have been having a think and also curious about the size of the drop outs on the frame as it’s built in the 60’s, but think that some of the GS axles would not be 10mm diameter and have the narrower axles.
Will have a look on the frame when it arrives, do you happen to know if the narrower 50’s axles can be used on later drop outs for 10mm axles by any chance please?
