Have you got the little plastic tool to properly click all the wires into the ports? They're easy to not fit all the way in
i did check every conenction, though i will check again on monday (with the tool :--) )
Sub’d and curious to know why go mechanical front mech? It’s one of the best features of di2…
couldnt find a cheap derailleur in the local classiefied, so to get the bike rolling i will do mechanical front, probably a dura ace 7400

some progress today. channeled my inner drilium and made some holes into the bb. 2 6mm holes for the di2 cables (on the picture only one), im gonna store the junction in the downtube, hoping its enough space for the cables.

also handlebar got a little hole to get from bar end junction to lever. the other lever will not shift, front derailleur will be mechanical.

connected everything, though its somehow not charging... maybe a defect cable ? i am using a mix of new and used cables, might be some faulty components in play

the only real missing part currently are the spring plate for the mafacs

only available for me in combinations with a dia compe 610 brake set, but 140 eu for 4 aluminium plates is a bit much ...
also how to get from the battery in the seatpost to the junction. as i have modern bb, theres little space in the bb area. i thought to drill seat tube to get the di2 cable out and mount the junction outside. but am open to better suggestions.
from the handlebar i lay the cable along the downtube to the junction, if it looks totally hideous i will probably drill the downtube also.

long time lurker, now having the first chance for a build thread. grabbed a peugeot py 10 with mafac braze ons for cheap. its resprayed, so no original paint, and the paint is already very damaged. weighs in at 2,3 kg for frame and fork. 531 el
thinking it has the limiting simplex drop-out i was determined to build it up as a cheap era correct randonneuse, maybe with some hint of modern, like son dynamo.
getting the frame out of the box i was delighted to see a threaded drop-out.
so new plansinspiration was this gilles berthoud

i had an used ultegra 6870 in my parts bin which was begging me to be used.
so over the last weeks i scrambled for parts i can use. i will build up a wheelset with a son dynamo, generic 105 back hub and mavic open pro. normal 1,8 spokes to keep cost low.i currently dont have a di2 front derrailleur, i will maybe use a normal cabled derrailleur with dt shifters, just for shits and giggles.
crank is a sellax 50.4 crankest, a copy of the ta, but fully compatible with 50.4 chainrings for a fraction of the cost, and it comes with chainrings pre installed ! win - win
today i put the parts on just to see how it would look

here on some broken wheels
it should fit 28's with mudguard -

havent ridden or tried synchro shift yet, no idea how to set it up ideally. but fun learning experience
