Any solutions for hair catchers that fit click-clack wastes?
Being a baldy this is not caused by me but is down to me to prevent or fix..
Not sure about caustic soda when the flow starts to drop off as will likely strip the brass/anodising on the waste.
If no solutions are proffered I’ll post the pic of the nebulous horror that was revealed when I unscrewed the waste, it wasn’t pretty.
Access panel has now been siliconed in so need to find a solution. -
@doubleodavey @ectoplasmosis
Unfortunately he doesn’t do jobs without seeing beforehand in person so I got lucky as he was parked outside on a booked job for the firm.
Sorry. -

Post dredge but did you find somebody for your mastic?
I have somebody doing the silicone in my bathroom right now who I found by walking past the works van and asking, He works for a detailing/snagging company who do chipped marble worktops and missing bricks etc, the well known firm doesn’t do silicone but he does this on the side at weekends if asked, based in St Albans but got the train to se19 so e10 is probably easier to get to.
Let me know if you want his details. -

This Aviva flooding thing is bollocks, couldn’t reinsure with pedalsafe/aviva “because we are in a flood risk area”
How so when we are over 100m above sea level in one of the highest points in London on the 6th floor with no water course nearby and no historical flooding?Same for the whole postcode area and those surrounding us.

Top work by @Chopsicle and team, sorted my old but not dead rapha bibs and a weird rubberised canvas musette strap.
Bought a sample jersey that has proper length sleeves!

" kids at school used to boast of having seen Predator or The Running Man or something on the way to Disneyworld.”
For me that’s golf club childhood trauma, not even one of those little red things on a chain with a pic from Butlins for me let alone a red Viewmaster from Disneyland.
Florida was the humblebrag playground destination of choice way back then.

Some splashing but I found other sinks meant water on the floor, it’s not been enough of an issue to consider changing it.
I would have maybe had a wider lozenge shape but it wasn’t my decision.
No issues with face washing as it’s a decent size even with the long spout which gets over the plug, not felt the need to change to the shorter one.
Sink was a bargain from B&Q which saved hundreds over the Vitra and Rak ones that were the same colour. -

So Negroni update, bought some Petroni Galician vermouth from local posh off-licence which wasn’t a bad price as its litre bottle, very herby and zero sugar sweet mouthfeel which is good as some of the cheaper vermouth’s can be one dimensional and very sugary.
Not as fruit driven as Asterley bro’s but will definitely buy again.
Only thing is it has some kind of plastic diffuser thing in the neck which means when trying to pour careful amounts it just runs down the bottle.
Is this some kind of bartender thing and you fit a spout in there? It looks to be fairly tightly fitted and I’m not sure it will come out easily.
Any idea what it is supposed to do?
maybe there was a makers sticker or printed name but they fall off or fade, not an expert just walked around enough mid century shows and antique warehouses.
if you google quarter sawn oak grain you will see the similarities with your piece and the wavy cross grained pattern.
