TBH there are probably numerous boy racer spots that a more deserving then my road.
good to see the initiative though, i would imaging that not too far in the future that once speeding has been electronically/GPS eliminated there will be no aftermarket exhaust sales as the fines will be prohibitive due to the noise fines. -

tado are doing refurbs with the same warranty as new.
i’m pondering getting some for a whole new system in a new flat (if the sale ever goes through) or at leas just getting the valves as i’m not sure if you have to know the boiler you have before buying a kit and i obviously don’t know that.
there is also the drayton wiser stuff which i think is a bit cheaper. -

My partner walked out of the Tom Ford film Nocturnal Animals at the rape scene (i had no idea it was that kind of film, expected L.A sophistication with added glitz) i have blocked out most of the details but there was definitely a row in the street, my bag left in the cinema bar with my laptop in it, long silences and no intimacy for at least a week.
we are still together but i do my research when picking films now.

Don’t suppose anyone knows of the london based Polish couple who run a parquet flooring company importing reclaimed parquet from the homeland?
I looked at them on instagram but stupidly didn’t follow them and now i’m crossing the google streams as 'Polish reclaimed parquet’ just gives me floor polishing.edit: found it, woodjoob.co.uk

If you are into horology then this chaps weekly email is worth subscribing to.
Chris Hall used to be at QP where i first met him and is now senior watch editor at MrPorter.
I don’t slave over watch websites as while interested i’m not following every launch/gossip/story but find this is a good way of finding out what’s going on with a bit of insider insight and not hitting refresh on Hoodwinky.

So not dissimilar to the fixie fakenger craze that took over London in 2007, it spawned a whole fandom of events, forums, shops and media attention.
All on the back of couriers riding their fixed wheel bicycles in an attempt to earn a crust to buy gear and red stripe.
The money moved in and so did the urban fashion fixie spread in E.S magazine wearing a rapha ‘fixed’ jersey and pair of cut downs astride the fasion editors pinarello, cycling cap at a jaunty angle. -
so as somebody who isn’t into ‘graff’ can anyone explain the schism between street art and graffiti?
looking in from the outside it seems that street art is the palatable socially acceptable end and the true graffiti artists detest this with a passion so will tag the shit out of it. is this the case?there is a Gary x Pref piece near me and it didn’t take long for it to to be tagged and essentially vandalised.
happy to be educated on this bit it seems that the extreme ends of the spectrum really don’t like each other? -
does anyone with their finger on the pulse of SE brewery taps know the story of london beer factory in west norwood and if they were assimilated into the gipsy hill brewery empire? i never went to the west norwood tap and google gives you the address of the gipsy hill brewery.
or is that just some crafty SEO thing? -
presume you meant ‘to warrant it’
yes, because i’m not pausing before a ‘big move’ and having to think if i should save or close other software before doing it, or go make a cup of tea.i have moved between capture1/helicon focus/PS with them all open, something i would not have contemplated before especially with only 16gb ram, i would have liked to have 128 but 64 is a big improvement and makes a huge difference to PS as it will use as much as it can.
i haven’t done any of my time lapse’s yet but the MacBook struggled with saving those and i would have to purge all cache’s and histories before i could do that, it also took nearly an hour to process the sequence tiffs in C1.
but it’s the same with every upgrade, the computer gets better, the files get bigger, the computer slows down, you buy a new faster computer...

Mac studio update:
so there is lots of online angst about noise. there is a background fan noise and a very feint power supply whine but only when saving a big file. the computer is about 18in from my head, if it bothered me that much i would move it but compared to iMac’s, MacBooks under load and old G5 towers it’s quiet. very cool to touch and the air out the back is cold, i don’t think i have managed to get the fans up to speed despite processing a lot of files and doing some heavy lifting processor wise.issues: some filters in photoshop like smart sharpen are not fast, it’s something to do with open CL which is evidently redundant now but still used for a few things. this is not a computer issue but software.
sometimes a brush lag with very long strokes in PS where it has to catch up, not bad enough to annoy as for most of what i do it’s not noticeable but be nice if it was snappy/real time.there is an issue with using external USB dacs. i have Tidal/audio quest dragonfly red and it has background clicking unless you use one of the thunderbolt ports on the rear (with a USB adapter)
i wonder if this has any impact on music/audio people who use USB interfaces?
no idea if thats hardware or software causing that.apart from that it’s all good and smart sharpen aside it’s fast, still get a beachball but thats for a second or 2 when doing saves or transforms or zooming in/out on big files (12000x10000 pixels 16bit 5-10GB)

Have you tried using google? that way you can look at their instagram and see how active they have been, see if you can pay for something on the website and ‘collect in store’ plus you can see the opening hours and what days they are closed and unlikely to answer the phone.
you could also look at bike biz and see if they have indeed ceased trading and/or gone into liquidation. -

is there a strap like a Eulit perlon but thicker? either 1 or 2 piece.
i don’t like leather in the summer as it gets a bit sweaty but the Eulit is quite thin and the clasp a bit dainty.
not interested in a nato and all the hardware that comes with it.edit: looks like Eulit now do a thicker version called ‘Atlantic’

i only use the higher res A7’s and have used A7r (now in Amey’s camera museum) a7RII (spare)and A7RIV which is my main camera.
you can break it down by resolution
12.2 mp usually filming biased/high iso/low noise
24-36mp probably where you should look if hi res isn’t needed.
42-61mp high resolution biasedso A7II, A7III, A7IV, A7C or maybe A7RII might be worth looking at, i have no idea of prices though.
if 12mp is enough then A7s/A7sII

i’m sure it will be a good income stream until the point when ICE transport becomes redundant.
