i have a few different batteries for my A7RII (it’s just a back-up now as have MkIV) and the sony batteries are much better then the duracell and ansemann ones i bought. but the batteries are all too small to give decent usage.
turning things like image stabilise will help as will the rear screen especially if turned up very bright.they are bigger on the Mk III/IV and last a fair bit longer.

i’m not going to tell you that you are wrong but it wasn’t even a hot day and walls were clean, to apply with small roller and brush out to a nice finish would need 2 people getting very cosy and literally working right behind each roller stroke because the time it would take to put the roller down and pick up a brush (that somehow wasn’t starting to dry itself) was too long to be able to ‘work it’ and get a good finish as it’s too dry.
if i ever decide i have to have a Mylands colour i’ll get you to paint it :-)as to not noticing? i’m a bit obsessive about things like that but i now realise once you are sat on the sofa you can’t really make out the area next to the door frame where you didn’t feather edge the filler very well...

“Mylands is one of my current favourites for fancy paint.”
i tried to paint my kitchen with it and while i’m no expert i know how to apply and lay off to get a decent finish with no streaks but the paint was drying so fast i couldn’t get a decent finish and it was very patchy and the last roller direction was clearly visible even if i did the flick up/down and decreasing the pressure as you roll off the wall. only way i could work was with a brush and dithering the direction randomly and working in small areas at a time, even then you are painting next to a dry edge that you covered 2 mins previous.
in the shop they said i needed to add a product called flositrol to retard the drying which is only available in big tins and makes the already expensive paint even more ridiculous.
will never buy that shit again.
i’ll stick to little green, people say it’s not as good as trade paint but i haven’t found anything that gets a really nice flat mat finish and the times i have tried cheaper paint matched to sourdough crust/audi bootliner grey/waitrose green colours they alway have shiny patches and not totally flat.

My take on this is that if a survey flags up something major like a bay window that needs underpinning, rotten joists etc then it’s a negotiating point.
anything immediately obvious just by looking without an expert opinion (old style consumer unit/broken tiles etc) which isn’t a huge undertaking on purchase then it’s for the buyer to deal with.but this is from a standpoint of having multiple offers after 3 days on the market, if you have struggled to get a buyer then a different view on what’s reasonable might be an order.
you can’t buy a fixer-upper and expect the seller to do all the work for you...

A buyer (who pulled out a few weeks before exchange) wanted us to make good all the holes from the tomado wire shelving that was going with us, 7 units so 27 holes in total all needing to painted over in 3 different coloured rooms.
that was a firm ‘No’ apart from the holes from coatrack in the common parts which obviously would need to be done.
will happily get the boiler serviced but i fail to see why we should do decorating for them when i’ll be walking into another property and having to start sorting the walls/holes out!?before listing the flat the blown double glazing unit has been replaced plus new handle, sash window chord replaced.
every property is different but i would sort out broken stuff but bigger refurb stuff is for new owners. my partners flat has a brand new kitchen and everything else is clean and painted but the consumer unit will need updating and the bathroom floor has some cracked tiles, if a purchaser can’t take this on when spending half a million pounds then another buyer will.
edit: if they insist i would go round with a pallet knife on moving day and splurge some filler in the holes and walk out.

often see a brakeless rider down my road (one of the hills in crystal palace) think he might work for the local bike shop as have seen him with a shop jersey on, if he does work there i’m surprised they haven’t said something about riding brakeless or at least not wearing the shop jersey while being a free spirited brakeless hero of the tarmac...
bit like working at an MOT garage and driving a shitbox with no insurance/tax/mot?!

It will take a few days for the application to go through but the big delay at the moment is valuations as it’s really busy for surveyors/valuers at the moment, we waited 10 days for a valuation and that’s with santander being so busy they farmed out jobs to Town & Country, our buyer has just had a ‘desktop valuation’ probably due to not having somebody available (this is Barclays who have good rates so are snowed under).
just getting an ordinary survey booked can take 2 weeks. -
Any Pinion fans here? currently shooting some new models for them and i’m quite liking the designs and they seem decent value for what you get, nice to see a brand not trying to create heritage, copy established designs or do minimalist scandi like everyone else.
images are not out in the wild yet but will be soon. -

people will pay stupid money to do the very same.
my extended family co-own 3/4 of an acre just outside my home village in kent that was my grandfathers allotment/market garden, it has a shed, half of it it grass, the other half a bit overgrown as it’s a full time job keeping it clear but great for BBQ/parties/camping.
adjoining this is a slither of woodland on a slope that is about 20m wide at the boundary with our field and it narrows to a point where it meets the village, it’s wooded and has no level ground in it. somebody paid £15k for it!? they drive down and sit in the wood for a bit but it’s actually not much good for anything, too small to coppice and do firewood, too dark to enjoy in the summer and no room to have a gathering and no parking.
the family would have chipped in and bought it for £5k as theres a path right up the middle that goes into our field but couldn’t believe the price it went for. -

will you swap that for one delicately placed on a centre console of a warmed up Audi executive saloon?
that’s the only one i don’t have.
