I also had 26 conti race kings 2.2 and bars with a bit more sweep come in for the GT. Only one race king left to install, calls for another ride on the GT soon.

This was my first time doing anything longer than 20km on flat bars, and it was pretty comfortable, better than I thought. The specialized fast traks were pretty nice, but I have no experience with big knobbly tires either so no proper benchmark. I do hope the rcae kings are less slow on smooth pavement, could barely catch up with my girlfriend on her 35c tires.

Of course the GT needed a test ride and what better way than to enjoy sun, dust and premium Dutch #notshitfromabutt, then freeze in a tent to do the same thing next day!

I picked up a cheap basket some time ago that was either going to be for a bike or magazine storage. It ended up being the first, but it did need some chopping.

Maybe try heating the tape with a hairdryer? Should make the glue melt a bit and get most of it off hopefully.

fc-m440! I thought it was gonna be a classic cheapo bulky stone, but it's actually pretty nice. Despite it being heavy the bike as a whole is surprisingly light!

Most km's done on this bike out of them all, but it doesn't make me as happy as the rest

Yep, this being in a real nice state made it easier too. Plus stealing some bits from other projects so I now have a good reason to buy nicer parts for those...

Somehow found myself a new project. Picked it up this morning, took it to the workspace in the afternoon and it already looks fun. Just have to do cabling and replace chainrings. I think I will make it 1x7. The wheels are pretty much brand new, the black paint on the brake surface is not even worn down everywhere .

found out that the cranks were recalled in '97, sick. Also think that they are 94bcd so that calls for some stridsland magic! will probably take 'm off and put some other square tape cranks with a cheapo ring and chain catcher on, this is not supposed to be something to go broke on......

My road bike is a Battaglin Speed, but it looks nowhere near as fast as the one you had hanging!

The crank of the Altra I built for my mate broke yesterday, not even 30km done out of 130km planned. Slow progress on other builds as everything needs parts I don't have or can't find.
