Cheers, yeah I think the size of tyre vs rim vs frame is ok, but I was worried about the axle interface. I’m not sure the surly through adapter and the halo one will work in their fork? If I just had to get the adapter I’d order it now, but the wheels are 100miles away :D

I’ve been offered the lone of a set of these;

With some 2.25” tyres to see it I want to go that way for winter trails.
They have a 15x100 front axle, halo do an adapter tube to bring the hole size down to 12mm, but will they play nicely with the forks?
As they would be winging there way to me via a chain of friends and returning them would mean the same, I want to know they’ll work before I say yes.

Did a bit of green lane quaxing earlier on The Pest. But I’ve lost the rack adapter I made to mount my Pizza bag to the mini rack, so I cable tied the Pizza Rack to the mini rack and then put the bag on top. Well it worked so that’s a win a least.

I’ve use one of these in the past, https://problemsolversbike.com/products/shifters-derailleurs/chain_tensioner , it worked just fine. DMR do one as well.

My last clicky BB turned out to be a front wheel bearing, I only worked it out after putting the wheel in backwards after a puncture and the click changed sides :/

I really need to clean the Kish, I’ve had it just over a year now and use it as my main commuter bike. It’s nice to ride a nice bike to work. I put around 100/120 miles on it most weeks and it’s just clocked 4,000miles in my ownership. I’m not convinced the chap that had it build actually used it at all.

I have one in the shed, as well as a steel rule and a set square. I also have a sequoia which I believe has pizza rack optimised mounts. If you want I can measure up anything you want tomorrow if it helps, maybe take some crap pics as well.

I totally agree with her. Since I’ve discovered British gravel (SFAB) I too have found that I push my bike more and more.

I run a pizza rack and it’s rated for a shit tonne of luggage, but the panniers do sit really high. On the Sequoia that’s seems to not be a problem, but on my Midnight Special it threw the handling to cock. With just a bag or light basket it’s fine on both bikes.
