Gonna add my £.02 worth of non-advice w/o intending to mansplain: don’t insure the car, insure yourself. If something goes wrong with that car your biggest expenses might be paying others who are affected and fixing yourself. The NHS is great but I’d expect the better private rehab clinics have better availability and more modern kit.

Interesting news on Apple’s privacy policy. They’re rolling out a function that compares the images on IPhones and iCloud to images of child pornography (via a hash comparison, it seems). If there’s a hit, they call the cops. Much discussion on whether it puts the onus on a person to prove the photo on their phone of their own child naked on the beach isn’t CP, and about the broader potential for misusing this tech.

It’s probably fine.

Imagine a can without the top and bottom lid, that’s what the cylinder spacer looks like. It sits between the bearings against their inner races.

Grab a screwdriver and push the middle of the cylinder towards the bottom bracket shell. This will move it out of alignment with the bearing inner races. Once you’ve exposed the races, you can use a dowel or flathead screwdriver to gently tap out the bearings. I mentioned ‘gently’ because if you whack it out in one go you might leave the outer race in the BB shell, which is a pain.
