They’re all Social Darwinists: they think it’s the natural order for the strong to dominate the weak, they are the strong, the rest are the weak. The laws they create are meant to manage and mobilise the weak, aka the workforce aka human cattle, not to be applied equally to them. Their notion of the Social Contract isn’t that everyone comes together and agrees to bind themselves by the same rules; it’s that they will allow the weak to exist relatively peacefully within the system they design for them, in exchange for submission and tributes.

What would be an appropriate medical term to describe the movement made at the wrist when you wave? I’m trying to self diagnose a steadily worsening recent wrist injury that I can’t 100% place the cause of, so I can work out what movements to avoid and what to do: it hurts if I make a fist and wave, or if I wave vigorously, and it also hurts seemingly at random doing other movements.
No signs or symptoms aside from mildly strong, sharp, localised pain located at or near my triquetrum-hamate joint. Painful with above moves and when palpated. A bit annoying because it’s not entirely predictable and is getting more sore.

Found the specific species: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liometopum_apiculatum Also discovered that many species of ant are eaten in their larval stage around the world. I might take a punt soon and try to fry a tablespoon of local ant eggs.
The taste of escamoles is difficult to describe, but I haven’t met someone who has disliked the way they taste. Fried they taste slightly sweet, slightly umami, flavourful but not overpowering, a ‘full’ taste like cooked meat has but it’s not meaty, leaves a light pleasant taste in the mouth. No taste of earth, curiously. They feel like cooked beans.

Lol.
That would make perfect sense were Johnson not well known for extra-maritally impregnating his female employees without consequence.
Your good point notwithstanding, the ‘little people’ who actually have to follow laws and do their jobs would have been obligated to report a possible national security risk. That’s how and why these pics were saved. Whether or not the top brass do anything with their teams’ input is secondary.

It’s a convenient way of making his role in the government’s failings seem more impactful. ‘No wonder BoJos plans haven’t worked if this guy is too busy snogging to put it to work’. Add in BoJos leaked message and it’s pretty clear they’re set to pin everything they can on him, not unlike BoJos previous collaborators.

Who leaked the CCTV? And how long did they have it?
A senior government official having an affair makes them a prime target for blackmail by foreign actors. The security team at his government office would have reported it straight to their top boss, who would have likely disclosed it to political overlords, ie, PM and party leader. They’ve been sitting on it since the same week it was recorded.

Have to respect the accuracy of their wording. Freshly boiled = set to boil recently, so if you left it too long on the stovetop you’d need to chuck it out. Freshly boiling = boiling recently, regardless of when it started.
If I were to venture a guess, using boiling water to make tea started because we can easily see when water is at or near 100C. Thankfully, we can now easily acquire reliable means of measuring the temperature of our water. Insisting on boiling water is just a force of habit that has become an unnecessary, eco-destructive cultural and industrial norm.

Heat to 92°C = 323.4 kJ = 0.0898 kWh = 1.52p @16.9p / kWh
Heat to 100°C = 357 kJ = 0.0992 kWh = 1.68p @16.9p / kWh
From UK Tea Assoc. https://www.tea.co.uk/tea-faqs
HOW MANY OF CUPS OF TEA DO THE BRITISH DRINK EACH DAY? A: Approximately 100 million cups daily, which is almost 36 billion per year [Source: ITC].
1 cup = 0.24 L
100 million cups = 24 million L = 24 mill kg H2OHeat 24 million Kg to 92°C = 24 mill * 323.4 kJ = 7,761,600,000 kJ per day
Heat 24 million Kg to 100°C = 24 mill * 357 kJ = 8,568,000,000 kJ per day
Difference would be 806,400,000 kJ = 806.4 GJ saved every day by making tea slightly differently while minimally/not affecting the end product. (Someone review my working pls).
Shouldn’t there also be a person providing the carrots to the cook?
