Went to £630 on auction last week with winning bidder apparently mucking about. Weighing up unknown repair jobs is hard. I would think that if someone's gone to the effort to have frame repaired and paint job done nicely (looks like they've chosen black to match other sections of black paint as the original red may be hard to match well), i would reason a decent job. Definitely a risk. Only other thing I'd check would be serial number.
Just seen one ride past. Lol

The cycle clinic sell all the spare parts. Although can be out of stock. Its a good source of info and you can always email them to ask what parts you would need, as it would depend on what type of 10 speed shifters you have. Mercian have the 10 speed return spring in stock.

Planet x have the 9 speed return spring which I think is compatible (the same) with 10 speed and is only 99p.
https://www.planetx.co.uk/products/campagnolo-record-10-right-shifting-lever-return-springEdited to add that you'll get a more complete answer from someone who really knows what they're talking about so could ask in campag thread or mechanics thread if you have any other issues or aren't sure.

Malicious intent would be "driver rams car into campsite" or "campsite terror as driver attacks".
Not to be too flippant but you wouldn't see "bicycle crashes into picnic" or "rollerskates careen into world cup hopscotch match." The operator of whatever equipment it is would be described, even if the collision was caused because of a mechanical issue or avoiding another obstacle.
It's the dissociation of the driver from any responsibility. Even with the assortment of regulations there are for motor vehicles it seems as if you abide to the minimum standards with little care then you're absolved of responsibility. If a driver goes around a bend at 40mph on a 50mph limit and crashes, it would be a dangerous corner in a car crash.
-
Does it matter if you actively crash your car? Actively crashing your car would be using your car as a weapon. Which would read attack rather than crash. Objectively a driver is in control of a car, if the driver loses control, the car can crash. Losing control of the car is not in question, the question would be is the driver negligent in their actions. If you were unsure for wording the difference would be "driver crashes" compared to "driver causes crash". The driver always crashes unless they jump out of the vehicle.

I'm soon to strip this bike down and recently saw these shifters on ebay for a ludicrous £550. The provenance behind them is that they were made for the pros and only 300 were made. I thought they might get 20% more than regular record shifters. Have the regular flaking at the bottom of the shifters, otherwise alright.

Nice looking mercier frame with a stuck seatpost for £30. Said they've only tried wd40 which wouldn't do much.

There's a petition to sign for the woodhill sandpit infill near Farley heath in the Surrey Hills. I was asked yesterday to pass this on to people who would be interested.
https://protectwoodhillnow.co.uk/
The infill while disrupting the land has implications for the (on average) 44 journeys undertaken by 20 tonne tipper trucks, 6 days a week, for at least 4 years. So congestion and dangerous vehicles on unsuitable roads l, is the main concern.
