He is using 38C atm, on a 32H rims that he will upgrade later - suggested him 36H or more, like a Velocity Chukker per example.

I think the UN55 has been suggested quite a lot around the web and if it breaks, it's a cheapo to replace.

I am helping someone building a strong bike, my friend is around 115kg/18 stone. He has been riding a Carbon Bike for ages and has experienced a lot of issues, either in the BB, crankset, or wheels.

I got him a steel frame which he is very happy about, now after a month of riding he needs to look at a solid BB as he manage to completely destroy a Tage Square taper (more specifically the cups), otherwise the bike is alright.

What do you guys recommend in terms of BB/Crankset for abuse? - I was thinking maybe a sugino 75 BB?

wheelset wise, currently has Halo AeroRage
I suggested to him the Velocity Chukkers+BLB King Hubs maybe with straight spokes 2mm or something like that?

Also any other tips are very welcome!

I have checked, rear triangle hasn't been squashed in. I did the measurements.
The reason I am running this wheel is that is a specific bike build. Price to pay when we "abuse" track frames :)

Rims are the Velocity Blunts 35 - 36H laced to BLB Kings, built 2 weeks ago.

As said, I want to avoid at max cost, discarding the wheelset and this frame, as was recent investment and want to explore options before that.

I feel that if rims where Velocity Blunts SS would probably just fit

If you give up on forks I will take them o/
