I stopped using youtube a few months ago after trying out Newpipe which has no ads. I had a pretty well used and curated youtube account though and the algorithm, despite every now and then slipping in the occasional 'manosphere' video, was generally pretty accurate in recommending me things related to my interests.

However, I just opened the app after all this time and my whole feed entirely consists of two types of videos: black people reacting to things and chiropractors

There was a school shooting in Serbia, 9 dead including 8 children. I was watching the press conference and surreal doesn't even begin to describe it, the minister of education and chief of police (?) in particular kept blaming western values for the shooting. A lot of "videogame culture" thrown about as well. Lots of digs at "societies where this kind of event frequently happens", basically implying it's the US' fault. Ridiculous.

Purchased an item on ebay, it worked for a few days and then it died suddenly. I started a return request yesterday stating "item faulty" and now this morning the seller replies asking to send it back but the reason has changed to "customer changed his mind". Is this normal? What can I do?
