The second tier of the garden is slightly sloped so I'm planning level it out by raising it up (more digging and more/walls), hoping that I will be able to get rid of a lot of earth this way. Also some will go back inside the base walls under concrete and insulation . But that's probably very unrealistic so likely will end up as skip(s)/collection..
Dirt half pipe is a big shout tbh.

Thanks yeah, I think I'm just weirdly lazy as in would rather start digging a big hole than to hire and then figure out how to get a digger all the way to back/top of garden haha (or just a cheapskate). Nowhere near as spacious as yours but should be sweet once done, will definitely be needing some tidy organiser stuff like you have made to make the most of it!

I did indeed. Hard to say time-wise, I lost conviction halfway through and had like a 2month break when it was nice weather. Got motivated again just in time for the cold weather lol.. I'd guess in the region 40-50hrs? No help, just one crazy man, a pick axe and spade. Here's a pic from when I was digging the front wall which was the deepest

Started a consolidated CP thread for bikes and this, then as I started writing this post in that thread I realised how annoying it would be to go back through later, so new thread here.
Short version - I'm building a workshop, it's probably overkill but I've committed now. So far all I've got to show a lot of work is some walls and a big pile of mud. Never done anything like this before so learning as I go.
First I had to clear out the top of the garden, move the old shed down, dig out foundations (by hand, like a maniac - deepest part was over a metre deep!) had ready mix pumped in and now built most of the walls for the base (Due to slope of garden I'm basically terracing as well as I go).

Looking at getting this. From looking at catalogues I thinks 1999 https://vintagecannondale.com/year/1999/1999V1.pdf . Says came with 2.1s, anyone on here know if there is rear clearance for bigger in the caad2 mountain frames from that time? As far as I can tell seems to be same frame across different models.
Asked the guy who is selling who was no help at all so asking here. Cheers!

Possibly the height and angle of pads in the brake arms? Looks a bit like right one is higher than left but could just be photo. But tbh as long as long as you adjust it once set up don't see it will make any difference apart from slightly different wear on each pad.. It could just be the tektro arms are not manufactured to super high tolerance to be symmetrical as well tbh

Took some new pics of the temple today.
Weird one for me as it was the first bike I built from scratch, so I spent more than I should have really buying all new components, not much in the bike world really but a lot to me at the time as I was not earning much back then. When I'd finally got it built it was pretty anti-climatic as it was just a bike, not sure what I was expecting but yeah. Then kept changing little bits but never really getting it right until recently.
For the original build I had bullhorns on which looking back is a bit lol (had to cram a flatbar shifter on there), but was determined to make it work at the time, then put some risers on but still wasn't happy. Have now settled with drop bars (Nitto noodle) and some chunkier tyres which I think has tied the build together nicely, and am still stoked to ride it when I do. Need different pedals tough as these one look cool but fuck me off a lot when riding. Thinking about finally get some clips but don't really rate them.. Anyone recommend some nice platforms that suit road bikes well?

Been on here for a while now and bought a few bits in the classifieds, spent a lot of time reading CP and other threads, thought it's about time to post something myself.
I currently have a '91 Kona Lava Dome in kind of Stridsland-inspired commuter mode (https://www.lfgss.com/comments/16441719) , a '95 Specialized Rockhopper as SS cruiser-y thing (which has actually been posted on here previously in SS MTB's thread, I think from Pedalroom or something), a retro Dawes road frame in ratty fixie form (https://www.lfgss.com/comments/16919859/) and a modern road bike built around a Temple Cycles classic frame from 2017 (https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/358067/#15724277). Also the build in progress is a Cargo fork bike, I have had some forks made by a friend and am on the search for the right frame currently (https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/358067/#15898704). Will post bit of breakdown of each bike separately at a later date when I've taken newer pics. But for now some recent-ish photos of Kona, Specialized and fixie, although all of them have been updated since but not taken photos yet.

Saracen kili racer e-stay. Too small for me :(

Today was a good day! I decided a few months ago to get clydesdale fork, mainly for carting around doggo/basketball+shoes/other miscellaneous items, then looked up how much they cost and decided not to. Eventually I thought fuck it I want it. But decided if I'm willing to spend that much I'll to ask my mate if he'll build me some as gives him business and custom shit is cool. (plug my guy real quick https://www.lordcycles.co.uk/)
Today Chris dropped off the forks + the frame with matchy matchy paint. So cargo/dogmobile is a go.
Frame is a Raleigh Montage. Basically bought because i like the lugged/classic look and was hopeful there might be clearance for big tyres due to crimps in chainstays. Could fit 2.3 DTH's off the rockhopper (barely) but as I'd decided to go for repaint anyway gave it an extra lil ghetto crimp to be sure.
New paint is RAL 7047. Powder coaters didn't do the best job to be honest but will do.
