Sorry to also jump on this, but just in case anyone more around the 5' 11" range is looking for something similar I have one sat in the back of the shed built up with GX Eagle, 26" 3.8 tyres and the knock off Jones bars from Alpkit that I'd love to shift for a very reasonable price.
I'd would make my defence for having bought a new bike much easier...

I didn't actually realise how soon I'd have it! Only arrived today.
As much as possible really. Almost everything except the saddle. Will have to look at the cranks, and replace the bottom bracket. Might match it up with the CK headset I got from Crust to go with it.
I'm not even that keen on the green, but yeah, the yellow definitely not. Decals will be repainted with something more in keeping with the paint job. The font and palm trees will be staying though, for sure. Quite like to add something like the 'what happened to all the mermaids' they have on the chain stays of the older models.

Likewise! If it makes you feel better, I missed the second batch of pizza and didn't hang around for the third lot.
I actually prefer Middleburn to those, slightly controversially. The shape of the cranks and slightly cleaner look just does it for me.
Perhaps the apensiest option is the Rene Herse crankset, which Sven Cycles might have in stock at the moment and would definitely do that setup.

Putting two and two together fellow Clever Mike fan. I remember reading this thread first time around and really enjoying it.
What a lovely bike. Love Fairlights, but also, more specifically, the all silver cockpit setup. Particularly having seen it in person.
Middleburn for the win. I would say they're the best looking cranks around.
I'm woefully unfit, but for me 46/30 isn't quite as spinny as I'd like. 42/26 would be ideal. Particularly for anything off road and/or loaded.

Bit late on this, but I'm not wild about the section between miles 53-58. Live fairly nearby and they're quite traffic heavy, fast roads, particularly the section along Totteridge Common.
I'd be inclined to take Quinta Drive, Mays Lane (I have a weird fondness for this road. It's a bit no man's land and has a proper farm on it.) and Barnet Lane instead.
If you're looking for a bit of gravelle you could cross Arkley open space, go down Arkley Lane and then over onto Quinta Drive.
You have to access Arkley Open Space from Galley Lane though. Don't be fooled into thinking there's another way over/under the Barnet bypass like the Komoot map seems to suggest. Learnt that the hard way.
Monster feels like a gross understatement.
