Hey All,

Just noticed that the reason for my wobbly bottle cages is that the bosses have come loose in the frame.

Don't really have cash to have them welded back in (if that's what you'd do with them?)

Would gluing them in place be a bad idea?

If I don't get it fixed is it likely anything catastrophic will happen to the frame?

Any advice would be much appreciated,

Splitting my Paul Milnes canti cross frame as picked up a new frame.

Transferring some parts over so only the following parts are up for grabs.

Frame: 50cm Paul Milnes Frameset £50

Canti cross bike with condor headset. Has had rattle can spray job (spray.bike) which is slightly flaky in some areas as seen in images.

There is one small ding on the top tube (3rd pic) from when someone tried to nick it but not noticed that making a difference.

Can include with either the seat clamp with rack mounts or a more traditional cross one with brake guide for cantis.

Firstly apologies for the slack chain bikes currently stored in the loft and only had a few minutes to grab a quick picture.

This was my commuter pre covid but no longer commute into work so re-built as a track bike.

Circumstances have changed since then and ideally need something more sensible I can get a baby carrier / panniers on so looking to sell.

Hey All, looking for a black quill stem 80/90mm length suitable for 26mm diameter bars.

Cheers @Tijs just had a look and your right about that locating tab on the inner chainring isn't under the crank arm so can shuffle that round...Having a google now but is there a similar marking on the outer chainring so both rings line up?

Cheers for the reply @dubtap The bike was new but around 6 months old now (He had a few slips while learning clipless pedals)....Did think the BB axle looked on the long side but assumed as it came fitted to the bike would be correct....Looking at it the chainset has holes for a 3rd smaller chainring so could the longer axle be to accommodate an extra chainring if it was being run as a triple?

No worries @Tijs original FSA ring did not have markings on but had pin on the correct side....Chainring has been replaced by Shimano 105.

Not sure if this will post as well but here is a video showing the chain not quite catching on the chainring...This is with a brand new chain and chainring.

Can someone help solve this issue that has left me and my LBS stumped.

My brother is just getting back in cycling and has just bought a new Cannondale Caad with Sora groupset.

There seems to be an issue when shifting into the big chainring where the chain doesn't always land on the chainring and the chain hovers on the teeth before catching then has a tendency to intermittently jam between the chainring and the front mech and get "proper" stuck.

I've attached an image of it getting stuck below with the original chain.

Bikes been looked at by the shop he purchased from and my LBS and have not managed to solve the issue. I've now replaced the chain and chainrings to see if that would help and still seems to happen.

Here's what I've also checked
-BB axle doesn't seem to have play in it
-Chain is not stiff on any links

Any advice on anything else to try would be much appreciated trying to encourage him to get out on the bike and constant mechanicals aren't helping, or am I expecting too much from a fairly basic setup.

Just to round this off just spoken to Fizik and the saddle is in fact a custom Arione K:1 (Model 7714 A00003 for any Fizik-aficionados of the group). They couldn't give me any more information on the custom order details due to privacy however there we have it. Anyone interested in taking it off my hands?

So had an e-mail back from Fizik customer services today to confirm this is a genuine Fizik saddle.

@Señor_Bear thanks for your concern on behalf of the other forum members you have quite the encyclopaedic knowledge of Fizik saddles however in this case the saddle is not counterfeit. I've asked Fizik to send over details on the custom components in case you are interested.

Will shortly delete this thread and relist the item as a genuine saddle as @yeahdext mentioned earlier in the thread the constant claims this is a counterfeit item @Señor_Bear does put off any potential buyers and kind of kill the sale.

This seems to say that you could customise your saddle and choose both rails and the tops however feel free to correct me if I've misread it.

@yeahdext great minds think alike emailed serial numbers to fizik earlier will be interesting to hear there opinion.

Obviously the main reason for the post was to sell the saddle so if anyone is interested let me know.

@Señor_Bear the original listing for the item had it as as a custom fizik saddle so would assume it'd be different from one of the their production models. Unfortunately I don't have any more details than what was on the original ebay listing
