A complete piece of s.... of a bike for sale, ideal for those that cannot afford a proper set of wheels or are afraid their precious ones could vanish in the night, should they leave them outside longer than 20 seconds.
Made by Raleigh, Nottingham in 70s/80s from some kind of lead pipe; dirty and greasy and repainted in obligatory black to hide any issues of course. It is sporting the crappiest of rear mech ever seen to mankind - does name SVELTO bring any memories?
Other bits are equally horrible Weinmann levers on narrowest of drop bars (35cm or so) and calipers, 730 that is, Huret front thingy and thingy on downtube to try to shift up and down and to top it up, also a 'modern' looking Btwin wheelset attached to a 9 speed block that I'm sure afore mentioned Svelto would get a hernia trying to lift it up beyond 5th or 6th sprocket.
Tyres hold air, that is by far the best I can say about them. Crankset is something stamped and weirdly attached wrong way round, which actually makes it better looking than it actually is, if that makes sense.
The piece of the résistance is that it has also a fab Brooks Competition, which haha you are not getting with it, as it was the only reason I drove almost an hour to pick up the bike and had to endure some real grumpy looking grandpa trying to sell me some other crap he had stashed in his garage. Will give you an appropriate Gel type seat though as not to damage your knees when crankset falls apart by riding out of the seat all the way home.
So for£15, fuck no, let's say a £5 and it is your, for a tenner more I can make it kind of roadworthy for you to ride away and dump it somewhere instead of me. And if you come to collect it looking particularly sad I may even give it to you for free and squeeze a can of beer in your hands and some change for a bus ticket for later when it does brake down.
Equally crappy pics to follow, do admire the saddle you are not getting please. Oh and it is 55/57cm seat/top tube, so perfect size for anyone that can ride a bike really.
Slough and surrounding areas only I'm afraid unless you have 'business' to conduct round here to comply with the new T5 rules.
