Selling this nice old muddy fox courier comp in green, barely ridden by my gf since I built it, it’s just not the bike for her I don’t think.

It’s got full shimano 1x8 drive train: xt short cage mech, new chain and cassette with probably <15 miles on it, trigger shifter, period correct deore mt60 cranks, hope narrow wide chainring so you shouldn’t drop a chain.

Dia compe levers and shimano cantis. Shimano Stx rc hubs on mavic 221 rims with next to no wear, new shwalbe city jet tyres 1.75”(with clearance for much bigger).

Squishy saddle and grips, pedals are wellgo v8 copies. New tange headset, sealed bearings. New BB. SJS cycles front rack included, crying out for a wald basket to be chucked on it.

New seat post, new swept bars, dirt drop style stem for a very cruisey ride.

18” seat tube ctt and 21.75” top tube ctc. Hoping £300 seems fair considering the condition of everything, it’s had a lot more spent on it. Ready to ride away! Collection only in E8 or will ride it to work for you in W1T.

No, cromo rails. But it’s only 16g heavier than the ti version weirdly at 254g.

Fabric scoop shallow elite. V v good condition as barely ridden, just not the saddle for me. £20 collected from E8 or post at cost.

Haven’t done much to the trek in a while but did half the king Alfred way on it and it was spot on. The forks have a 385mm a2c length which don’t seem to lower the bike but just make it handle very nicely. I highly rate the early 90s singletracks with the lugged frames.

Couple of upgrades since last time are a rear hope XC on d521 and then because the deore cranks cracked I finally fitted this Ukraine fundraiser stridsland chainring and bolts with white industries cranks, which tbh have the worst chain line ever and are 5mm too long.

The RM feels more at home with these p2s - a2c length is better and I think they suit the bike well? And I have wanted an elementary stem since ‘08 so I had to get one of those. I’ve gone 2x10 with a clutch mech too. Feeling like I’m nearing the end of the rainbow here / peak wanker. It’s currently set up with knobblies and a flite instead of the fabric saddle.

Palisades trail is rad. +1 for those bars, they're great on retro mtbs
