Are the road cruisers what you want but out of stock? I've got a barely used set (<15 miles) if you want them - you'd need to send me some replacements though as they're on the latest build at the moment! Would consider a trade for something fatter and all black.
Speaking of trades... anyone want to swap a black selle italia turbo in good condition for a different saddle, maybe something wider? Learnt they're not for me.

Sorry @Matisse I think they’ve gone already via pm.

I'm going weight-weenie on my shelf situation to prevent it ripping out the wall. Collection E8 preferred or will post at your cost.
Front mechs:
- Shimano Deore DX 34.9 bottom pull. Missing logo. £5
- Shimano XT M737 31.8 top pull. £12
Other bits:
- Vintage Stronglight BB. 115mm length, ISO. Bearings a bit rumbly, teeth on lockring a bit squiffy. No idea, £10>>£8?
- Shimano SLX 11sp 11-42 mtb cassette (i.e. needs the washer/spacer
behind it - not supplied). Tbh, I don't know how to tell how worn
this is, so I suppose the assumption should be that it's quite worn?
Saying that, I was using it fine and have only changed to move to
11-46. I've done about 500 miles on it, not sure about the previous
owner though. I've cleaned it as thoroughly as possible. £10?
Dibsed
Gone:
- Shimano STX RC V-brakes
- VGC biopace triple rings
- Shimano DX pedals
- Shimano Deore LX 28.6 bottom pull front mech
- Green dia compe BRS101 front road caliper brake.
-26" front wheel - 90mm Cinelli 1A quill stem
- Zipp stems
- Shimano Deore DX 34.9 bottom pull. Missing logo. £5

Haha yeah ok I hear ya.
@doug1e thanks for sharing. that’s pretty similar to mine, but the paint scheme is better. Didn’t know you could use a mech hanger extender on the older mechs to extend the range. Can’t beat a triple though imo. I went 1x10 on my old trek 950 recently and it’s just not the same. The only positive is having a clutch.

I am glad I didn't see this for sale at the time to be honest - it's a beaut. Definitely option A for me. Imagine I'm not the first person to say I'd buy it off you if you end up going with something different :P
Did you watch the recent Shimano 100 year anniversary rerelease of the promo video for this XT groupset? that alone makes me want this bike.

Not as cool as the last Kuwahara posted, but good price and not miles away either:

I've got one already but am tempted as mine has a stuck seatpost - someone save me from doing it!
Nice, it looks like you got your hands on one of the older 950/970/990s from 1990 which are very nice lugged frames. I do agree the forks look a little odd compared to mine from a year later - photo for reference. Great work on the MF too, and those multitrack frames are a bit of a hidden gem for a cheap gravel build. 700c, wide clearance and canti bosses - spot on!
