Talked to an AppleCare specialist today, they couldn't help me with late remote returns. I would guess they'd also turn me back from the brick and mortar store when they reopen, as I purchased from the online store.
They're suggesting a SMC reset for my fan problems. It clearly can't handle my workload sometimes and will fire up the fan for a long time. I'll try the reset, but I don't think it will help. Not a fan.

I used to use OmniGraffle a lot, then last year discovered drawio (now called https://app.diagrams.net/ ) useful and free.
VLC for media playing, or ElMedia Player is also not that bad and has more features.
BTW Docker for MacOS will shamelessly show "New Version Available" dialogs on top of Zwift (erm, full screen apps) true story.

- Witch: Customizable app switching. I'm using an older version (I'm refusing to pay again for the upgrade) but still works fine.
- iStat Menus: Replacing the regular menu bar with cpu/mem/network graphs and stuff. Click on the clock pops up a mini-calendar plus other timezones I'm interested in.
- DejaLu: I use this mail client. It's a little bit buggy but I like it anyway. Sparrow-like, which was another email client that was bought out and shut down by Google. Yep, same author.
- Charles Proxy: I sometimes use this to debug app traffic on my phone. I still can't capture Thrift (HTTP transport) packets with it for some unknown reason, but works fine for regular REST.
- Zwift :D
- Sublime Text as daily text editor (VSCode works just as well I suppose. I use JetBrains products -mainly Goland, that's what I have a license for- for coding)
- Tunnelblick is a nice VPN client (OpenVPN wrapper I should say) capable of multiple VPN's at the same time etc.
- Transmit (by Panic software) is a nice generic file transfer tool, if you ever need something that has a UI.
I used Little Snich for a long time but I'm not using anything for that stuff any more. The popup gets tedious after a while since I don't like to set up blanket rules except for few apps/domains.

Yup, worked well. I even found a short video on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zg4ZFruCfSg
The rim still had original tape. After I was able to get the tire on the wheel, had no trouble seating, no leaks so far. Cheers.
For the front tire I'm waiting on a Tesa delivery, got 25 mm wide, hoping it's not too much. The wheel was rebuilt years ago with a new rim and had narrow Shimano tape on which isn't tubeless compatible. I tried retaping with a roll of Kapton (what I had in my misc tapes box) but couldn't get it on without wrinkles, didn't work.

Same issue with my MBA 2020 vs. the mouse (KB is wireless) for almost two months, swapped the noname USB-C hub for a "proper" Anker, still the same. What I discovered is, apart from rebooting, if I connect the hub's USB3 to another USB3 hub (posh Dell monitor) and connect the mouse there, it works. I think it's not about hardware as a reboot fixes the issue for me too.
Good to hear somebody dealing with this through the proper channels. I pinged my friend in Cupertino and he promised he'll take a look at the internal bug reports etc., but our communication is one-way most of the time as he can't let stuff slip.

Lezyne also makes some cycling computers with simple mapping, they start at sub-£100. "Lezyne Mini GPS Cycle Computer" is £80, a friend of mine has it and seems to work for him. I won't vouch for non Garmin/Wahoo products for nav/map but if budget is a concern you can give it a try and see if it performs up to spec. It shows just a trail to follow and your position just like the Garmin Edge 25 in the above reply. Tiny tiny fonts though.

Similar boat here, upgraded from 2013 MBA. My 2020 Air was delivered last month so I'm out of the return window for the last 2 or so weeks now. To get the same-level of upgradedness (16 gigs/1TB and i7) I would need to pay £350 more and not sure if it's worth it. I despise the touch-bar and my daily routine is around web and coding, so only upside for me would be the 2 extra USB ports (I dropped the -C now that I'm on the 2020 model)
So thanks Apple for keeping the return window a sane 14-days and not putting me in the position to decide between the new MBP and my new MBA :D

Oh well... If I loosen the screw on my shifters, the screw and the bracket come out at either side (front/back) so I can directly remove it from the bar without any sliding whatsoever. It's a faff to get them back on but I've managed to do it on multiple occasions... That might be the case with yours too. My experience is with st-r505's and st-r8020's.

Lovely bike indeed. Would it be possible to unwrap the bartape on the front-brake side to move the STI lever inwards (or go the opposite way and just take it out completely) so you have enough hose to push down the NDS fork hose hole/leg so you have enough give to take out the fork? That sounds like the only way to do it if you want to avoid a hose replacement (or shortening) on the front side. You might get away with not disconnecting the hose from the caliper since you'll pull the fork down as you move the STI inwards and have more and more hose length.
Disclaimer: Not a bike mechanic, don't take my advice seriously :) Good luck.

Tom Scott has a new video on the infamous Ipley Cross, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYeeTvitvFU
The article in Singletrack is also very good: https://singletrackworld.com/2018/01/collision-course-why-this-type-of-road-junction-will-keep-killing-cyclists/
Thoughts?

Airpods Pro owner, no such complaints here about the mic. I regularly use them for voice calls, at least one call per day.
You might have a defective pair. Not sure how you can get them checked with the Apple Stores closed, but talk to support maybe they'll send you a new pair if you send yours back?

I'll switch to Safari for Hangouts/Meet tomorrow and see if it makes a difference for me.
