Looks good, I didn't know about the BT functionality of the Hue range I guess. They also do a mean 15.5W white-ambiance model which puts out up to 1600lm, bonkers price but could be useful in some places.
Now the question is whether to switch to E27 (from B22 bayonets) before getting expensive-ish lightbulbs or not.

On the hunt for a smart bulb, that can do:
- Tunable white (automatic depending on time of day? if that's a thing)
- Dimmable
- Not bad CRI-wise (probably in the daylight white modes...)
but I also think WiFi isn't really needed as long as I can just control it (dim, or turn on/off as long as the physical switch is in the on position) from the same room wirelessly. Should I just get an IR controlled bulb (with the bullshit-looking CR2032 remote) or is there an alternative? Don't have Zigbee/etc currently, only A**xa, but I could change that. I'm good with recent DIY electronics (the SoCs that can do BT/ANT/Zigbee) but I don't want to endlessly faff as currently I'm already faffing with other projects using those SoCs.

Tom Bihn makes very nice bags, ships from the factory in Seattle. I find my Synapse 19 bit on the heavy side (when compared to cheap decathlon things ofc) maybe due to the fabric or the excessive number of pockets... https://tombihn.com/

Previously: Bought first home, in Glastonbury. Moved 120 miles west.
Looks like the carpet in the lounge started smelling even worse than it did before, between the (overly wet) cleaning and the time we moved in (couldn't leave any window open due to living far away) TBF the carpets smell everywhere in this house.
Tried treating the lounge carpet with the usual 50/50 white vinegar spray etc which seemed to help in some areas, but not in others. So the next step is to get rid of that carpet, looking at mid-range solid core LVT (click) options. Any recommendations in this subject?
Here's the state of it. It was a standard build in 1997 so hopefully the floor underneath is uniform.

Have you used the 1040 yet? What’s been your actual experience bug wise?
Got few stitches for 8 more days, so won't be able to test it soon I'm afraid. I just pulled the trigger when I saw stock on Merlincycles and I was able to use my points for a bit of a discount. (also it was a good time to sell the 1030+, already sold for £60 less than my OG purchase price)
The UI is not great, few bugs, floating button to access settings is an abomination, they probably developed it on top of the 1030 codebase rather than 1030+'s.
Snags I've noticed so far:
- Takes a while to get used to the UI, tapping the title bar to go into an activity profile and tapping the left arrow to go to a profile is easily confused/mistapped, I briefly considered downgrading to a single profile to avoid this (my other profile is "indoor", meh)
- It didn't come with any UK maps so I had to sit on the computer to download and install some
startup.txt doesn't work (yet, they say) so you can't have your name/contact on the boot screen
Custom widgets can't be installed (probably a bug on the firmware, the functionality is not removed)
Tapping on a custom data field won't pass the click onto the device, so to access the home button you need to tap on a Garmin-supplied data field. (If you have a page full of custom data fields -or a single big field- I'm not sure how you would get on)
Some data fields don't come with Edge 1040 support yet ("HR + Zones" is one) but luckily it's open source so I was able to build and push it to the device manually
VIRB widget is removed (I was using it to trigger other things using a custom device) and "VIRB Record" on the controls widget is still there but just doesn't do anything.
Things other people reported on the Garmin forums, I didn't test/verify any of this:
- Apparently the "Emergency contacts" page doesn't have a back button so if you go there you'll need to turn the device off
- Di2 buttons won't close all open menus on click, you need to do multiple back button taps
- Di2 buttons won't work if the ride is paused?
I doubt it will go on discount anytime soon, at least this year, and I wanted to see/test the new stuff with glances and power etc.

JavaScript:void(0), is it my issue or the website’s?
That's what some links have as their "href" (URL of the target page) as a placeholder, and the detection of a (potential) click is done via other means/magic (which involve more javascript) so if a link isn't working it's a separate issue from the "void(0)" indicator in the status bar. Could be your adblocker, or it could be turned off at the website. (it's probably the latter)
This "turning off" can be done selectively (based on user's location from the ip address for instance) so you could try with another ip, from a 4G connection for instance. My Vodafone broadband (UK) IP still shows incorrectly as India at some registries, which causes all kinds of problems (mostly excessive captchas)
As of writing this (15:21 BST) wiggle (co.uk) 's "Need help" chat link opens a pop-up telling me all agents are busy, so it seems to be working at some capacity.

Thanks. UK version seem to be F4V1012WTSE from what I can gather. And the washer-dryer version looks to be FWV1128WTSA judging by the front panel.

I had a similar issue last year, SRAM (ofc) Paceline rotors on 240EXP hubs. Zyro said "send it where you purchased it from [you such and such]" so I bought another pair from where I got those from, Centerline XR this time. It worked.
The play in the video is not normal because it's just too much. The lockring can apparently hold up up to a point. Trying with XTR rotors it's minimal.

Knog Scout is in stock (£50 airtag replacement with a siren, works with the Find My network)

In other news, preordered a 14 Pro last week. 12 Pro will be passed on, iPhone XS (512gb with a 70something% battery) will be sold (probably). Apple wants 70 quid for battery service so I think we'll just sell it as-is.
