Adding to my spam of the thread, a couple of us had also suggested doing the infamous South Downs Way after this lovely bout of sunny weather it’ll be nice and dry.

Was wondering if there is any nice routes taking in bridleway and quite roads, leaving from London to Winchester?(I haven’t had a chance to have a look yet)

Sounds like a really nice ride, if we don’t do it this time it’ll definitely be on the wish list for later in the year! Having never really explored that part of the country it seems like a great route to get familiar.

Wow this look like an absolute corker of a ride, I hadn’t considered the east coast tbh so this looks lush! My plan so far was the downslink to Horsham then along to Chichester, looping up to the new forest with a train back.

My mate is going to lend me his naturehike for this trip now, it’ll be nice to test a bag out and get a feel to see what I would actually want from a bag before spending!

Looks good! Was sorta looking to spend more around the 150 mark or less, I know I probably won’t be getting the best value here, but I won’t be using the bag all too regularly so the upmost comfort isn’t a huge requirement. New would be a nice option as I could klarna it.

Definitely would get something better value 2nd hand, just struggling with the extensive amount of bags available at what to look for.

I’m not looking for a weight weenie setup, but definitely don’t want a lead weigh either. will be packing it in my Carradice, so around 10 litre pack size, then I still have a nice amount of space left.

Planning on going on a 3 day/2 night tour in a couple weeks Leaving from SE London and either arriving back in London via bike or train depending on where the route takes us. Wanted some potential wild swimming and maybe a brewery for some nice fresh ale. Light~ish mileage each day averaging 50 odd miles at a nice relaxed pace. Anyone have any routes or suggestions?

I agree with this, mapped a ride using Komoot a few weeks back and some of the “ai/user” generated paths were blocked off/private land that wasn’t accessible! Much prefer rwgps for mapping

Got pulled out on along Camberwell New Road this morning, driver didn’t check the bike lane or road for that matter. Front wheel is now toast as I went straight into the side of them and then they run it over after speeding off. Called police and have reported but doubt anything will come of it.

Was a black Volkswagen reg started with LD21 and now has a me shaped dent in the rear drivers side door.

Just as I was considering swapping my bike insurance over to a specific policy instead of being tacked onto the home insurance. The excess makes the claim feel like it’s not worth it(especially losing my no claims)
