OK, I know there's Cranks, but it's not always practical to take a frame, say, over there.
I will be very happy to lend / take any tools of mine round to anyone else. I've not got anything fancy, but things like crank pullers/Shimano BB tools are handy...
This was prompted by me needing a Campag BB tool...
So, to kick off, anyone got a Campag BB tool they can lend me - or come round and whip a Campag BB off my Scary Quinn?

leonard zinn recommends cooling rather than heating, as alloy (supposedly) contracts quicker than steel. he says hit the join with a CO2 canister to cool it rapidly and pull at same time.
also, leave it upside down with oil soaking through down the fork steerer for a couple of days, put in vice, try again...
lewis also recommends putting coke down the fork and letting it stew a while... dunno the science behind this - maybe it dissolves the crud?
max, i finally managed to get all the shite bits off the elswick! Had to anglegrind the driveside bb cup, and the stem unfortunately, it wasn't coming out, even after heating in on the gas stove for 10minutes! Had to use half a new headset too! But at least i'm rolling now!
