Some EWS1 news.
My buyer has just told me that Santander is not accepting the EWS1 form as proof of building safety because “a lot of EWS1 forms they were receiving were not genuine and were being signed by people who didn’t have the correct qualifications to do this.”
They have apparently asked my housing association for more information regarding the cladding, but if they're worried about an EWS1 being fraudulent, why would they trust something 'lesser'?

I think it's one of these, so not a fairing but actually part of the structure of the wheel.

I'm currently selling my place and am lucky enough to have an EWS1 form (although I'm still not counting on anything until contracts are signed). When my buyer's mortgage surveyor was here though, I asked him about it and he said that in his experience Santander were the most lenient and in some cases weren't requesting the EWS1 form. Maybe worth giving them a try?

I have a pair of core cargos that I've had for about 18 months and a pair of 'regular' core bibs that are about a year old. I had another pair prior to that, which were also about a year old when I tore them to shreds in a crash. Have had no quality issues with them at all and (as far as I'm aware...) they haven't gone see-through on the bum, which seems to be a common complaint.
Warmth-wise, I would say they're on the warmer end of the spectrum of 'regular' bib shorts - they're relatively thick. Have worn them in <10c weather with leg warmers and my thighs and bum have survived.
However, I did just get a pair of Castelli Free Aero Race 4 shorts on Wiggle for £100 and they are noticeably better than the Rapha ones, for less money.
Edit: You asked about tights not shorts. Ignore half of what I said.

After changing the RD cable on my Cannondale Supersix Evo (externally routed down to BB then internal through chainstay to RD), there's now a creaky rubbing sound when pulling the cable through to change up to a bigger cassette sprocket. Sounds like it's coming from the BB area. Have I done something wrong? Am I slowly sawing my bike in half?
I got one similar to these from Homebase recently. A tad smaller, but only £12.
