Sugru is the answer, a moldable glue that forms into any shape you want, dries and stays in place, is water proof etc and will last... can then be removed if required at a later date with care, and leaves no mark.
Various colours available, I used black when I etap'd my bike, looked like a rubber grommet 👍🏻

Its (potentially) new frame time, but I want to keep my wheels... can anyone tell me if my rear hub can be adapted to 142x12 (currently QR)... I'm not sure what the model of wheel is... Hollowgram HG Si?
And, if it is adaptable, what parts do I need to adapt it?

Shimano GRX 810 crank, 172.5, 42t chain ring and ultegra BSA BB
BB has done 155 miles, crank/ring have done about 300 ish, they show no heel rub at all and are totally un-marked...

@leggy_blonde did an MTB route from Analipsi in the summer, which in truth was more of a gravel ride... and even then a good 40% was road... this was under recommendation from the bike shop, so cant really advise a route, but the main thing I'd highlight is, as per above... dogs... there was one loose that barreled out of his garden to come after me, was a huge thing and I was climbing a very steep hill at the time.. genuinely prepared myself to get bitten, but thankfully the owner called him back at the last second... was the size of a bloody bear.
