Just got back from my shortest bike trip, bent derailleur hanger and derailleur snapt in two. I’ve ordered a hanger at the frame builder and am looking at a new derailleur. It was originally build as a commuter so I went with 105 but if I use it more for mtb/gravel/offroad, should I look at other options? It’s a 2x system atm 11-32 cassette. Cheers!

I gave up on running the rock 'n roads tubeless. They've been in my shed for too long, had massive sidewall leaks + went from good pressure (survived a 45km mtb ride) to completely flat and popped off the rim overnight twice. Always need the compressor to pop them back up. You could probably run them tubeless and I've tried since others have succeeded online but for using them twice each month they would probably be deflated everytime I wanted to get out. I've just popped tubes in them and will ride them till they break. Not mad since they aren't meant to be tubeless but in the meantime I'll keep my eyes open for replacements.
I'm a huge fan of schwalbe tyres since I've never had trouble running them tubeless. Will be used for mtb trails in Belgium, so nothing too technical, g-one bite maybe?

for someone entirely new to gravel bikes aka finally using his gravel bike for what's it supposed to be made for and not just commuting, I've installed rock 'n road tyres. I've set them up tubeless although they are not. I went for a 45 km mtb ride yesterday and they held up fine. Now I'm wondering which tire pressure I should ride. I've no idea except that I bounced of my saddle a few times yesterday so 5 bar was way too hard. Any tips except for lowering it bit by bit?

seeing as I'll be using my reserve front wheel when the dynamo is not needed, anyone know where to look for budget gravel wheelsets? Will be running 43mm tubeless rock'nroad's. Quick release but don't care about the weight as it's only for a few times/month. Is there anything regarded as a good budget option?

Agreed on the disc brakes, never thought about it because I live in a flat pancake country and don’t do enough mileage (or don’t use my brakes enough :p ) to wear out rims.
