@kobe thank you, that sounds great! Please send me the link and I will have a look.
@dj02 if you mean this one:
Looks nice but I am pretty sure it’s not a genuine Gios - i think it’s just been painted to look like one. Seller states it’s a replica, and some of the frame details aren’t quite right. Has done a pretty good job with the paint though...

@punkture by the way, I am sure you have seen this but just in case:
Has been repainted but could be restored to Gios blue...
-
Haha @punkture I suspected as much! I know it’s a long shot but will be worth the wait if anything ever comes up! It’s not like I need an old Gios, just really really want one - very much n+1. I’m off work for a while with illness so passing the time looking. I am using all the usual channels like eBay Italy and some Italian bike shops too. Maybe needs a trip to Italy...

Thanks for your replies!
That would be amazing @kobe, many thanks. Budget can stretch if the frame is nice enough.
@marxist_vulcan thank you, gazelles are lovely but a nice Gios is my dream frame. I have been watching Italian ebay for a while, but I wanted to involve the experts on the forum!

Hello all
I am looking for an old Gios Torino road frame and fork - I've noticed that there have been a few floating around on here over the years...
I need a very small size - around 50-51cm seat tube c-c. Any model, any condition considered, any price.
Please let me know what’s available! Thanks
Dave

Hello
I have a brand new, unused Potenza chainset - it’s black, mid compact (52/36) but chainrings can be switched - same BCD as the 50/34, and 175mm. Powertorque+ which is not quite the same as ultratorque, but actually easier to install and does have a self extracting bolt which is an improvement on the original powertorque. You would need to buy BB bearing cups separately, these are about £20.
Obviously not exactly what you’re looking for, but I wonder if it’s any good to you?

Dear LFGSS
My sincere apologies. I was contacted by a few people after posting this, but was unable to reply as I have been dealing with a serious illness. I hope the forum understands.
The groupset is still for sale, and given the long delay I would like to start from scratch with a price drop to £190 for the lot. Please get back in touch if you were previously interested but I didn’t reply to your messages. I won’t be splitting the group cos it might get complicated. collection only in NW3, or buyer can arrange shipping if necessary.
One issue I have encountered while cleaning it all up is that on one of the brake calipers, a tiny grub screw that holds a nut on the central bolt has rusted to the point that the hex socket has rounded out. That means that the bolt is stuck and the spring broken. I don’t have the ingenuity or tools to fix it, but in an attempt to remedy the situation I bought another pair of 600 brake calipers (BR-6400) on eBay, in slightly worse condition, for the springs and bolts. So, the groupset now includes 4 brake calipers, 2 in good nick but with one stuck bolt, and 2 slightly more worn but with springs and bolts intact. Hope that makes sense. I’m sure someone cleverer than me can make 2 of the calipers work!
Everything else is as previously described. My apologies again to those who tried to contact me before.
Dave
Thanks @debe26, looks very nice! I am trying to find a road frame though, and specifically a Gios. Good luck with your sale!
