NOW SOLD
Nice but old 26in MTB wheelset, ideal for retro MTB beater / commuter / pub bike etc. Bought on here about a year ago.
Mavic X221 rims. Shimano LX hubs. Freehub takes a 10 speed cassette. 32 spokes front and rear. Includes QR skewers.
These have been well used but still have plenty of life left. I’ve tried to show the rim wear, its hard to see in pictures but you can just about feel it with a fingertip. The rear rim is pictured, the front is less worn. Hubs are a tiny bit rough but perfectly useable. The hubs are nice enough that they might be worth properly servicing and rebuilding with new rims when the time comes.
£55 o.n.o. please
Collection in London NW3, but I can meet more central or possibly deliver within reason. I would really prefer not to post.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Interesting, thank you. I had indeed always thought the saying came from Shakespeare. I must say I am definitely no fan of Congreve though, having been made to sit through one of his ‘comedies’ as a grumpy teenager.
I suppose it’s a bit like “the proof is in the pudding” in that regular misquoting of a commonly used phrase replaces the original. I find that one particularly annoying.
Anyway, it really is a great bike and would suit anyone of the correct size, as long as they can live with the incorrectly rendered name on the top tube!
EDIT: now SOLD!

My wife prefers her MTB and has asked me to sell this. She has had it a few years but hardly rode it - it has only done a few hundred km at most. It is in excellent condition, just a few tiny marks and scuffs but no deep scratches, dents or damage and looks really good. It’s nice and clean and everything works perfectly, the chain is a bit grimy but I will try to find a new one.
This was Pearson’s female specific road bike, I don’t think they make it any more. It would of course be absolutely fine for a man or boy of the appropriate size! I would describe it as a higher end aluminium road bike - definitely well above entry level, and worthy of component upgrades. The frame is really quite nice with tidy welds, tapered head tube, internal gear cables, carbon fork etc. As I recall, RRP was about £950, it would be well over £1k at today’s prices.
Compete 10 speed rim brake Tiagra, 50/34T rings, 170mm cranks, 11-32 cassette. The wheels are fairly generic with Shimano hubs, they look like R100 or similar, and 25mm Conti tyres. Reasonable finishing kit, Forza alloy bars and layback seatpost and a 3T stem. The saddle is the original Forza one recovered with nice Alcantara suede. I will include a very basic pair of flat pedals so you can ride it away if required.
I couldn’t find the full geometry chart but from my measurements:
Size XXS
ST 41cm c-c, 45cm c-t
TT 50cm c-c (sloping), 51.5cm effective
HT 13cmMy wife is 5ft 1in and this fit her nicely with an inline seatpost and shorter stem. I think it would fit someone between 5ft and about 5ft 5in. We didn’t cut the steerer so there is a fair bit of vertical adjustment.
I would prefer not to split this, but if there is no interest in the complete bike over the next few weeks I might sell the components and keep the frame.
SOLD
Collection in London NW3, but I could possibly deliver within reason - north of the river / inside the M25. I would really prefer not to post, sorry.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Finished! Very pleased with this, it is great fun. Definitely a mamil wagon. Feels faster than the TCR (frame is now for sale) although probably new bike effect! Must be a bit heavier but not excessively. Handles really nicely - front end is lower than the Giant and head angle steeper too, so it’s noticeably snappier.
50mm plain black wheels with tan walls for pictures, but I will probably ride it mostly with slightly shallower wheels - I have a pair of 40mm that are lighter and easier to handle in the wind. I am small and quite light so I do struggle a bit with deeper wheels when it’s gusty. Obviously a deep section frame like this might be a handful too, but so far so good!

Hello, I’m selling a small Giant TCR frameset which will fit you, see below
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/377109/#16571260
As it happens, I will be in South Wales in a couple of weeks. Let me know if you’re interested!

Pictures of the frameset. The only significant mark i could find on the frame is the tiny scrape to the NDS seat stay, hardly noticeable except very close up. The tape on the chainstay on the same side is covering the hole for the cadence sensor.
SRAM decals and Skull and Crossbones stickers will come off very easily!

RRP for the frameset was £1295 back in 2016.
Fantastic frame, handles really well. Fast and stiff, but not too stiff! Very light - can easily be built sub 7kg. Rim brake, compatible with mechanical and electronic groupsets. It’s a TCR - not much more to say. Great ride, great value.
I bought this a few years ago ex-demo from a shop - it was good as new. I have ridden it a fair bit - around ten thousand km. This has been my ‘best’ bike, I have looked after it carefully and it is in excellent condition, with just a couple of very, very light scratches but no significant damage at all.
Sale includes full carbon fibre frame, full carbon fork and carbon seatpost, with headset, steerer tube expander bolt, Giant Contact SL 90mm and Contact 80mm alloy stems, Giant Contact SL 40cm alloy handlebars, and all frame fittings (cable grommets, mech hanger, seatpost clamp and the chainstay cadence sensor thingy - I rode without this but it can easily be put back). Also the original manual and other tiny bits. Press fit BB - I will remove the currently fitted SRAM GXP one unless you need it. Also note, it has an oversized steerer - 1 1/4in to 1 1/2. Obviously the included stems fit, but do bear it in mind if you need a longer one.
Picture of the bike as I was riding it below (I can leave the stickers on too if you want!), but the sale is frameset only, with the extras as above - the groupset, wheels, saddle etc. are not for sale. I will add more pictures of the frame when I have finished taking it apart. Please do get in touch if you need a complete bike - I could find a groupset and a pair of wheels to rebuild it.
Geometry:
Size Small
Reach 378mm
Stack 529mm
Effective top tube 535mm
Seat tube 445mm
Head tube 133mm
Seat angle 73.5
Head angle 72.5
Chainstay 405mm
Wheelbase 974mm
Standover 742mm
Recommended rider height 165cm - 175cm / 5ft 5in - 5ft 9inI am 5ft 6 and it fit me perfectly with the 90mm stem and the saddle as far forward as it would go. With a longer stem it would definitely fit someone a few inches taller.
£600 o.n.o. please
Collection in London NW3, but I could possibly deliver within reason - north of the river / inside the M25 maybe.
