What are the goto V brakes? Cantis are such a faff (for me) and I'm led to believe V brakes are better for heavier loads (me).

Want to run 2.15/2.3" tyres and fenders if that makes any difference!

Any square taper crank recommendations? Want a 1x setup and need some new cranks with a better BCD for a narrow-wide.

Currently in love with some Middleburn cranks. Not sure if money is best spent elsewhere?

I recently put this together; but having moved I genuinely can't see this getting used for the next few months which makes me sad, very comfortable and would make a great commuter with some guards.

Table top tyres look unnecessarily great on it.

Bought the frame and some bits on here a while back for £60. Perfect around town bruiser/pub bike.

I think the frame is 18". I'm 5ft'11 short legs. Fits fine!

I have the saddle 740mm from bb center.

The bike doesn't feel too long, although I could have done with a shorter stem

Or swap for a Brompton M6(whatever)

Just finished building up this rockhopper, will be my new commuter until I inevitably get bored again. Need to fit some GB mudguards but that can wait. The only annoying thing about the build was the brakes, for the life of me I just couldn't get the brakes dialled in so took it to the LBS.

Will see how I get on with the Nitto bars, I'm already thinking of converting to some Dajia far bars...

Haha for sure! If the TTs have no clearance with the GB mudguards I'll definitely let you know if I am selling them.

I'm building up my Rockhopper to be more of a touring bike, so figured tyres w/o knobs would suit better. Although the TTs look great.

@joel_austen I currently have some 2.25 inch table tops but looking to change to dth 2.3 or rat traps. I'm guessing I might have to go with smaller tyres with the 60mm guards?
