Looking for a 1" thread less full carbon fork. Steerer needs to be 17cm or more.

My Audax bike and my "fast" both have rim brakes. Commuting, I'd go through 2 sets of rims a year with the back roads and hills down here (Cornwall). Horses for courses.

I think disc brakes are a must for commuting. Rim wear is a PITA.

I have some super compact flared bars that came on my genesis. You can have them for £5 plus postage.

This works with me but I've just bought a frame that fits this need. I'll get back to you tomorrow morning after I decide if I want the effort of flogging my frame to get this. What is your best price posted?

The genesis day one 10 is extremely good value for £419. Saddle, sprocket and tyres swapped and awaiting adult sized (reach) handlebars. I think you'd struggle to get a better bike new for the asking price.

Can I play the entitled white man card? It would be unfair to deny me the place as society has systematically given the white man what he wants. Emotionally I think it is only fair.

It seems strange to not have any qualifying rides for LEL with so many DNF's last time and the over subscription. I'll be a little bitter if I don't get a place as I've been an AUK member for quite a while but just let it lapse most years for a few months.

@flatik With GP5000 yes, easily. Vittoria Corsa yes but with less clearance, enough though. It takes standard drop brakes adjusted right at the limit on the brake pad adjustment.

The brazing is exceptionally clean.
