I used 18mm birch ply with full depth (standard) brackets at not more than 600mm spacing. In my case that was one at each end plus one in the middle.
Across 2.4m I'd reckon 24mm will flex under it's own weight. Your rear edge brackets will limit that but i'd worry the front edge could sag in the middle once loaded. If not immediatly then later. -

There are a few types of cold applied liquid roofing that probably fall into the category of ‘resin’. Bauder do one and Kemperol is another. the application is like fibreglass - usually a primer , first coat, reinforcing fleece, top coat etc. can get 20yr on it. But needs doing by approved installer. I’d consider it higher spec than general cure-it fibreglass stuff you can get at builders merchants -
To me that sounds like it could be a good roofer who would rather use synthetic for its reliable uniformity than a poor grade-but equivalent price point - natural product. I've never seen a sample of synthetic but I had a contractor use spanish slate instead of welsh. It was darker and pretty uniform but worked fine. Any decent supplier will do samples so worth getting some and having a look before committing to anything.

Cheers boss - the argument is that cats are carnivores and dry food is solely for user convenience. The process may start with meat but you end with much higher carbs than they need all sprayed with meat flavor. Apparently they only naturally get carbs from the digestive bits of the herbivores they eat. Anyway noted and will probs just carry on with both.
Cat won't really be touched at this point let alone picked up so fuck knows how we'll clip her nails. But like yours she is free range and always up a shed/fence/tree so...that's a problem for next month.

Novice cat operator here - just watched some youtube about the evils of dry food. We've been giving both since we got her as thats what they said at the rescue centre. She often licks the jelly off the wet and doesn't eat all the bits. Grazes on the dry. Should I reduce the dry to none and then just give wet ?
Also claws - do they need clipping on the regs ?

Gonna be good !! - that front rail (and the front to back ones for that matter) aren’t doing a whole lot in terms of limiting flex - I would think . But if you glue and screw the front rail to your desk-top from the underside (pocket hole jig would be ideal - or little tiny metal corner brackets) then it’s stiffness is acting on the front edge of the desktop as a beam - to limit flex. I did this over 1700 mm - doesn’t flex even with the weight of a 10yo . So you might even get away without a middle leg.

These are the hardest sides as there are two openings - it’s not hard hard - just effortful and slow going measuring then cutting and fixing on loop. And yes all boards need cutting to fit regardless. Wish I had a Timelapse mode !! Am happy with the look of it tho so that’s a relief - was quite worried about using cheap fencing.

Also - my efforts in 2009 - would have defo done a shadow gap between the chimney breast and the boxing panels in hindsight. Rather than making them flush (cracked in the end) Just painted mdf and 2x2 pine. I did a flush plinth the same height as the period skirting but set back. Birch ply tops and shelves - when it was 50 quid a sheet - lol.

I think this looks like a lovely and calm nursery space. No doubt there are some classily illustrated (but bollocks) picture books on the shelf on the right and some wooden animal toy ornaments too. Allow the pre baby nesting perfection.
We only ever painted our kids rooms white, which quickly became drawn-on and grease/poo/bogey smeared.
Beyond 2yrs the plastic tat starts to build and before you know it the floor is 75% lego, there are rotting forgotten snacks under the bed, you have given them wardrobes they won't use and the walls are covered in stickers and blue-tacked magazine posters.
Each to their own but its the overly 'curated' older kids rooms you see on the renno accounts that annoy me more.
Because they are clearly driven by mummy / daddy for their blog rather than what the kid actually wants. 10 yo (IME) do not give a fuck about seasonal shelf displays or muted scandi chic. -
Either normal two pane slide fold outward opening - or you could look at tilt turn french door set (rationale do this) - which would give you the ability to ventilate without opening everything up.
You do see those asymmetric pivot doors on projects but sounds like a really bad idea to me if you are planning benches either side - the pane will swing across surfaces you (or things) are sitting on. Recipe for squashed kids
