Do you grow much over winter - its wet/cold i cant be bothered so i cover my plot in weed proof membrane about now and uncover in march. ive done this for 13 yrs. Then in spring this yr (i think march time so still huge risk of frost) i got a non cultivation letter. i spoke to site management at the time and we resolved things - im just paranoid now about covering my plot up again and getting another letter. I emailed them a week ago outlining the background and my plans and asked is this ok? ive had no response - are you really expected to cultivate whole plot 52 wks/yr ?

ok apologies - still a steal at 220. id have it myself but (a) im not in london and (b) ive got far too much hifi gear. surprised it hasnt gone already - IMO you could get more by splitting on ebay

Do you seed save? Ive just harvested some pumpkins and put the seeds on my window sill to dry out, ive heard of saving tomatoes and sweetcorn - anything else ?

Do you all have bird problems with sweetcorn? i think ive been lucky in previous yrs but this yr the birds ate about half. im thinking to just grow double next yr as i cant be bothered with nets and space isnt a problem- what does everyone else do ?
