You did that yourself? Wow! In a good way.
It looks good from about 10’ away, less then that and it starts really bothering me. I learned a bit doing it and may put another coat of primer down and re try it with smaller more consistent triangles.
I thought messy varying triangles would look cool. Shrug

These were originally made by Aaron of 44arn fame for Geekhouse. Marty didn’t have any left, Aaron didn’t have left, but a little bird had a secret stash in his tool box. I think they were seconds, needed to have the treads retapped, bolts straightened and have some machining remnants removed.
I might paint them black with some Testors model paint.

That’s close to my first thought, I was thinking gold edging to all the ones already on there and perhaps smaller gold triangles inside the existing ones. However To finish it I’d need to strip it down anyhow.
The primer coat only took about two hours to do, and I’d like to touch it up in a few places.
I’m thinking I’ll redo it next week, and do a first layer of blue triangles then an overlapping layer of black triangles. Smaller, more uniform, and more of them. Experiment on the fork first as I’ve yet to touch it.
