Didn't know that zonal got the gilco treatment!

All the Zonal tubed bikes I can remember had shaped tubes. I had a Coppi back in the early lights, and I can picture a Zonal Cinelli.

I wish I had tried a seatpost in it before powder coating it. The seat tube was distorted and when I got it straight and reamed it out there was some buckling/creasing in the powder. It’s not cracked, I epoxied in a shim and it seems to be holding.

Here’s the “stupid bike” that I got the frame in the same trade with the Geekhouse and Spooky.

They’re usually utilitarian and quietly a bit gnarly. But this is fucking bullshit!

The guys who bought the company from Micky really don’t get what made Spooky Spooky. No connection to the old brand tbh.

Rebuilt the bike with some DA and bits from my stache.

Bike was really clean, had been built in 07 or 08 and barely ridden before being stuck in storage.

So I bought this bike for the crankset to install on the Geekhouse.

It’s also the idiocy of trying to build a touring bike around spare Mtb parts that have been sitting NOS in your tool box for a decade, and then trying to find other parts to work with the aforementioned parts.

Not yet, I think I may just buy a smaller inner ring first. Should have done the maths a little better first.

I had a Raleigh that came unbrazed at the brake bridge, it took me forever to figure out what was wrong with it, but I could feel the back end “wandering” for lack of a better term.

Very nice, but why did he put a brake bridge there in the first place?
