This is an image of spoking patterns from the classic book by Gerd Schraner "The Art Of Wheel Building", if you get a copy of that (there are probably PDFs online) and study the pictures in the lacing section you can't go wrong.
Unless....
... are you sure that the ERD is the same for the old & new rims? From your photo it looks like your hub is vintage and the rim is modern. If you're not swapping the hub-and-spokes into a rim identical to the old one you're going to have trouble. The relevant things to be identical are the ERD (very important) and the spoke hole offset (not so important). -

Speaking of odd drillings, I wonder if anyone knows how to get hold of a 12-hole rim? I have a 12h Royce hub and a 24h rim, which presumably would work fine, but I'm curious as to whether 12h rims even exist. I found a Corima carbon one but it costs way too much for me; Campagnolo did a 12h Shamal in the 90's but I've never seen unbuilt rims available. Any others?

Genesis Day One Alfine 8 speed frame & fork & Cane Creek Forty headset & seatpost clamp
2013 model
Frame broke at rack mounting point and has been repaired professionally at LBS (see notes below and photos)
Frame measures:
56 cm BB centre to top of seatpost clamp
55 cm seat tube centre to head tube centre
Head tube length is 16 cm
Fork steerer is 23.5 cm longSeatpost diameter 27.2 mm, I can include a basic seatpost if desired
This is the disc brake, Alfine 8 speed hub gear model with braze ons for the cable for the hub gear.
OEM front wheel (Alex/Shimano) can be included in sale if wanted (picture to follow) as can original brifters by Versa which are in quite poor condition (I replaced these with TRP hydraulic levers and built another wheel with a dynamo hub).
This was my touring and commuting bike for three years and in its various guises it took me all around the UK. Sadly this summer I stupidly overloaded the rack en route to a festival and the rack bolt's braze on broke off the seat stay just above the drive-side fork end with the bolt and frame still attached (see photos). I took the components off and put them on another frame, which is now my main bike. Now this one has been professionally repaired at my LBS where the rack mount was reattached and a whole lotta metal added to reinforce it so hopefully it can't break off again. Again, see photos.
Given the scruffy condition and unpainted repair I'm only looking for
£130 or £150 with the wheel£100, or £120 with the wheel. It's in Oxford where it can be picked up, I can also post it for an extra £20.

I'm gonna build up an older Dawes Galaxy for a pal, I've got a front wheel and just looking for a rear.
130 or 135 mm rear spacing
Shimano cassette compatible
Rim brake
Wide rim for tyres 700x28c upwards
Sealed bearing preferredI can buy a rim & spokes for~£40 to build up a Deore hub I have, so that's my price upper limit.
Appreciate any offers or info :)
Just posting on here to say I am glad this thread exists, thanks for starting it @chokalateboywonder, things have to change and white people like me need to look at what we get to take for granted, and also what we don't have to put up with, think why is that privilege not the case for other human beings and how did it get like this/how does it stay this way, and what things must we be doing right now to eliminate white privilege and begin dismantling racism in our society, and how can we be effective allies to BAME people in this work.
One tiny, very tiny, thing I'm doing ATM - and yes this is a small thing - is always wearing my BLM shirt when I am out and about delivering vegetables to people's homes by cargo bike, my hope is that my high visibility/noticeability on the streets with my loaded-up 8-Freight (people always look twice) helps remind people in the very rich & largely white area where I do these deliveries that this is real, always has been, and will be so after the news cameras etc move on to whatever is next on their agendas...
Also anytime I talk to another white person about race issues I am now almost ordering them to go and buy Ibram X. Kendi's book and read that cover-to-cover ASAP!
